Danni shrugged, "Not the prettiest thing. Figures I have no close friends." She muttered, then stomped the board into place.

Luke nodded and smiled, looking at the blue sky fading to orange. "Hm, the day went past quickly."

Hunter said, "I will go ask my parents about coming. Even if they stay they will probably let me come."


Carrie also looked at the sky, "Yeah." She stood up, "I should be going."

Danni nodded, "I'm probably going to go to a hotel or something. Definitely not safe here." She said, grabbing her purse.

Carrie nodded, smiled, then waved as she walked away, "Bye."

Carrie went to her house. Now she wondered how she would tell her mom she met a mutant and now the government would be after them.

Danni went off to check her room, then came back. "Ready?"

Luke settled himself down, wrapping himself in a blanket. "Mommy look, a homeless man!" He heard kids say as they passed, but their moms always told them to be quiet and usher them on.

Carrie walked home and told her mom. Her mother stared at her, "How come I believe you?" Carrie smiled at her mother, "I will introduce you to him tomorrow."

Luke eventually fell asleep, ignoring all the couples out for a night stroll pointing at him.

Danni walked outside, then turned to wait for Hunter to lead.
