Tallis curiously glanced around, running her fingers through her hair and stepping outside, hating that she was leaving Cash behind. But then again the parade was today and she had told Zac ahead of time she would go. She blinked softly and smiled to herself, wondering what it would be like before she calmly walked to town.

[lilt]

It had taken tons of pleading and begging, but I'd finally talked Em into going to the festival. We'd gone every year when we were younger; why stop now? Smiling triumphantly, I pulled on my coat and she did the same. We both walked out, and I shivered as the cold touched my face.

[Maafii]

Tallis glanced calmly around, blowing out a soft sigh and pulling her jacket tightly around her body as she wondered where to go. Zac had said it had been inside to keep away from the cold so she started forward, glancing around with fairly curious blue eyes.

[lilt]

We walked to a huge convention-type center, in the middle of town. It was used for a bunch of things; academic competitions; mock trial; the festival; church gatherings; etc. I led Em in, who looked annoyed at me, but I didn't really care. As long as she was off her butt for once this week, she'd be fine.

I followed, irritated. My hair fell over my eyes.

Tallis blinked softly, managing to find the place before smiling in triumph and slowly walking inside, pausing to swallow and glancing around the place. It was huge with a lot of people. She blinked her eyes softly in surprise, walking forward nervously.

I walked into the free event and waited in line to get in.

[Maafii]

Tallis sighed, glancing nervously around before noticing Zac and smiling in relief, slowly walking over to him. "You were right, this does look pretty fun." She mused.

[lilt]

Hearing Tallis, I looked over and smiled. "It is, just wait. There's tons of stuff to do, and the funnel cake is beast."

I listened to him and rolled my eyes. He was too cheery.

Tallis smiled lightly, nodding and glancing around with curious blue eyes. She smiled curiously and glanced back at him. "So, what are you doing?"
