Sasha nodded, "Can you get her in the car so we can get to the vet, I don't want Rose to see her." she said sotly as Fox whined weakly.

Lukas nodded. “Yeah. I will take her.” He said and gently took her and put her in the car. Rose looked around wanting to see her dog.

Sasha held her tightly, not wanting her to see Fox while she was hurt, she was so worried about the dog. She put Rose in her car seat, "It will be okay sweetheart." she said softly and kissed her forehead, before looking back at Lukas worriedly as he put Fox in the back as the dog whined softly and weakly licked at his arm. It was hard to see their dog like that, and Sasha knew chances were high she'd lose a leg, but if that was all they lost, she would be okay.

Rose looked at her mom. “I’m sorry I let go of her leash...” she said. Luke waited for his wife and then drove to the vet. He got out. “Want to stay here with the kids till I get her in?” He asked. He got their dog out carefully and headed inside doing his best to not let Rose see. He took the dog inside and got her signed in.

Sasha nodded, "Of course." she said softly as she watched him go, she sighed softly and looked at Rose. "Oh sweetheart, that isn't your fault at all." she told her softly. "Fox will be okay." she told her gently. She watched her husband go in with Fox and she knew it could be a bit of a wait.

“Okay.” Rose said softly. She was worried about Fox. She hadn’t wanted to let go but she was little and didn’t always think about what happens if she lets go of things. She looked at her brother who was still asleep.

Sasha moved so she was sitting in the back with them, "Rose, sweetie, the vet will take really good care of Fox, what happened was an accident and it isn't anybodies fault." she reassured her, gently squeezing her hands.

Rose looked at her mom. “Okay mama.” She said and hugged her tightly. She tried to relax a bit.

Mark hummed as he made supper, he was getting better at doing things, although it was still an adjustment. He wanted to treat Cassie for all she had been doing for him, and since she had had to run into her clinic for an emergency, he thought he would use this time to cook for her.

Cassie was tired from getting up early for the emergency. She had left at four in the morning to deal with it. She had not eaten all day. She drove home when everything was taken care of and walked into the house. “I’m home!” She called. “Sorry I was gone so long. I am sure you are starving. I will make something.” She said and headed to the kitchen.
