Cora smiled.and placed her.hand in his. Getting up she dusted herself.off before looking up.at her husband with a bright smile.

Blaze looked away from her. "To find a new home and family." He said lightly. "To build my own herd. There can't be two stallions in a herd, Shura has been patient with me thus far, but later.on he will.want to kick me out. I'm just doing it for him." He looked ahead at the vast open fields. "I'll meet new mares, possibly settle.down and start a herd of my own to the south." He sighed quietly,

Ashley looked at him with sadness in her eyes, "Oh ok." The mare quickly averted his gaze and looked at the ground. She wasnt going to stop him if he didnt want to stay

Blaze caught the sadness in her eyes before she looked away. Sighing, he turned back towards her, nuzzling her shoulder. "I'm not the right stallion for you, Ashley." He said softly. "You want a strong stallion that's.able.to take care of you and to be there for you day and night. That's nor me, I can't even be as good as Shura is for Rosemary. You don't deserve me." He looked away. "Shura would say the same thing."

"How do you know that? When have you tried?" She looked at him before walking back. This wasnt going to be the lasttime they met. At least, she hoped it wasnt.

Blaze watched as Ashley walked back to the homestead. "Ashley, wait." He said, quickly trotting to catch up to her. He knew he sounded like a jerk, and it made him feel guilty. He didn't know what to do, but he decided to stay a bit longer until the foal arrived. "I'm sorry." He added lightly. "I was a jerk." He looked away as he followed her back.

Ashley thought about his words as she walked back towards the house. Pausing for a moment, she looked around, ears perked. She caught nothing but the sound of the wind but there was a acent. A unfamiliar one at that

Blaze stopped beside her. Still feeling regretful for being a jerk, but stood alert when the wind brought an unfamiliar scent. Snorting, his ears pinned back as he stood his guard. They were only twenty or so feet from the barn. Shura would be able to protect rosemary if whatever was coming for through them. "This scent," he said. "It doesn't smell good."

Rosemary neighed as the birthing process began. Her ears pinned as the scent wafted around them.

Ashely looked around cautious. tonight was not a good night for anyone to be stalking around. There was a storm coming in and the weather would be too much for even a vampire to be out. She wondered what was out there
