Francesca nodded slowly. "I guess so..." she said, frowning slightly.

Celestina stopped in front of a young man selling squash. "Salutations!" she said with a smile.

Riccardo smiled and they reached the doors nearest the stables. "I'm sure you will feel better after a ride." he said quietly as he pushed the doors open.

"Hello M'Lady, how may I help you today?" the vendor replied with a smile and a low courteous bow.

{Is it squash the vegetable? Because I didn't think they had squash as in drink in medieval times, and I just want to check}

Francesca nodded and walked in to the stable. She approached the wild mustang, and it started rearing. "This is going to be fun!" she said.

Celestina smiled. "I'm just looking. Did you grow these yourself?" she asked, guesturing to a butternut squash.

Riccardo smiled and got a saddle and reigns for the mustang. "What do you wish to name him, M'Lady?" he asked, walking back and preparing to saddle the horse.

The vendor continued to smile but shook his head. "I am afraid to say I did not, M'Lady. But they were grown nearby." he explained, holding one out to her.

Francesca thought for a moment, examining the black mustang. "I think I will name him Prince." she decided with a smile.

Celestina nodded. "They look wonderful." she said with a smile, examining the one the man held out to her. "May I ask what your name is?" she asked, looking into the young man's eyes. He was about her age.

Riccardo laughed and kissed her quickly on the lips, then got to saddling the horse. It was surprisingly easier than he had expected, and he was soon finished.

"Davíd M'Lady, and may I ask why a Lady of your stature would wish to know the name of a lowly street vendor such as myself?" Davíd asked with a raised eyebrow, but his smile remained.

[anthem lights.]

Francesca grabbed the saddle and started walking to the horse. "Good boy, good boy." she crooned. She slowly put the saddle on the horse and tightened the girth. She found the bridle and put it on Prince, too.

Celestina smiled. "Who wouldn't want to know the name of a handsome man such as yourself?" she said.

Riccardo smiled and helped Francesca gently onto her horse, then went over to his own and swung himself on. "So, the fields just beyond the city gates?" he asked her, dreading the ride.

Davíd walked out from behind his stand and took Celestina's hand, raising it slowly to his lips. "In which case, M'Lady, may I ask what your own name is?" he asked, lowering her hand but not dropping it.

Francesca smiled. "I don't reall care." she said. She stroked Prince's neck softly.

"My name is Celestina. I am a noblewoman from Normandy." Celestina said with a smile.

Riccardo smiled and made his own horse trot slowly out of the stables. "Well, I believe it would be best to break a new horse in in the open place there." he said, steering his horse out.

Davíd took a step closer to Celestina, so there was barely a gap between them. "Is that so, Lady Celestina? Well, I think that a Lady like you deserves an escort around the city." he whispered.
