Magnus nodded and got up. "Ill be back. Stay in the cave and keep the fire going." He leaned over and ruffled Mikah's hair fondly. "Hang in there. Ill be right back."

"Don't be long," she said worriedly, giving him a kiss. She needed him.

Mikah groaned, his eyes rolling as he shook again. He blankly stared into space.

Magnus nodded before setting off into the forest.

Astra cleaned his wound as best as she could and tried to help him relax. Azuna watched on, terrified that he wouldnt make it and only feeling worse when she noticed everyone's grave expressions.

Mikah became quiet a little later, his chest rising and falling slightly as he breathed. Liah sat down beside him, gently rubbing his shoulder.

Azuna shifted close to mikah and held his head in her lap as she gently stroked his hair out if his face. She looked up and met Liah's expression as she struggled to control her own which displayed her inner turmoil. "I cant lose him, liah... We need a plan that will keep him and tge kids safe before they find and attack us."

Liah nodded, looking down at Mikah with a sad expression. "I know. Neither can I." She hated how she needed to think of a plan. "We'll find a safe place for them to stay." She rubbed her forehead, sighing softly.

Azuna continued to hold her gaze fiercely. "Liah, i know you never wanted to be leader but you were a great one and right now we need you more than ever."

Liah shook her head, her gaze on Mikah. "I haven't been a leader for a while, Azuna. I'm not used to...these things." She bit her lip. "I'm trying, Azuna. But..."

Azuna reached out and held her arm. "We all believe in you. Right now no one knows what to do but only one of us has ruled successfully. The rest of us are too full of anger to make the right call but you... Youve always only fought for peace. I know you are who we need."
