Sungaze had never been close to his parents, not at all, but they were both still alive. He couldn't relate to a loss like Lavenderpaw had. "I am proud of her." He said after thinking for a moment. Was that a weird thing to say in this situation? He didn't know but it was the truth.

Sungaze gave a small smile in response to Stonestar's praise just as Lavenderpaw approached. "We should go then. Goodbye." He meowed with a small nod. He flicked his tail slightly as a signal for his apprentice to follow as he began to head out of camp.

"You, mostly." Sungaze answered. One fact about the medicine cat was that he was honest. Not everyone always appreciated how blunt he could be about the truth at times though. "He thinks your mother would be proud of you. I told him I am proud of you."

"That is a noble reason." Sungaze said, "I chose this path because I wanted to learn. Learn more than just how to hunt and fight." Being able to help his clanmates with that learned knowledge was only an added bonus for him, really. He just liked gaining new information about things.
