Faramir smiled at Merry and Pippin. "I am merely a prince, Meriadoc, but I am doing alright. How are you?"

Merry smiled and said, "We are doing well." Pippin looked extremely happy and was containing his excitement.

Eowyn walked over to the table and sat beside Faramir. She traced a route on the map with her finger, then looked up at the travelers. "You can stay here tonight, but I expect that you want to get to Rivendell as hastily as you can. We will gather anyone who will help and assemble them to leave tomorrow morning with you. It is the best we can do."

Eowyn walked over to the table and sat beside Faramir. She traced a route on the map with her finger, then looked up at the travelers. Faelwen bowed low and replied "Anything that you can offer, my lord, is most welcome."

Pippin and Merry watched and listened to the people.

Ellethwen smiled at Faelwen's response, glad of her respectful manner. "We cannot thank you enough, Eowyn and Faramir. Now I think we shall retire, would you have someone show us to our rooms?" Faramir nodded and looked to his squire, who jumped up from his seat in the corner and led the visitors out of the room and up some stairs to a hallway that had several doors branching off. He opened the doors, revealing three rooms, one for each elf and one for the hobbits to share. Ellethwen thanked him graciously and he left, leaving the group to settle in the rooms.

The group, being quite tired out after their wonderful and at times stressing journey, all collapsed upon contact with their respective beds. Faelwen slept rather noisily for an elf of her stature, often tossing and turning and four times, rolling right off the bed. This often ended in a piercing shriek and heavy breathing. The last time, however, was rather odd. She sat right up and said something that shocked everyone.

"They're suffering."

(I dunno... ran out of ideas.)

Pippin was out cold. Merry was sound asleep and woke up.

Ellethwen sat up in the next room when she heard Faelwen. She had woken up each time the other elf had fallen out of bed, but this time she was acutely aware of the words she had spoken. Quickly she slipped out of bed and into Faelwen's room, curious to see what she meant. "Faelwen? What is wrong?" she murmured, walking to her.
