”i don’t know...” she whispered softly but stood up.

“Why?” Sasha asked softly.

”never mind... come on.” she said as she started walking to the door.

Sasha offered her arm to Lexa to help her walk as they got downstairs, sitting at the table. They had even added an extra chair for Lexa. All of the family members loved her so far and were happy to have her. They had also made sure the meal was gluten free.

lexa shyly looked around and started eating once every else did. she was quiet the whole time, still needing to adjust. she finished eating quickly and sat silently at the table.

Sasha’s mom didn’t want to push Lexa and make uncomfortable, but decided to ask one quick question. “Lexa would you mind telling us a little about yourself?” She asked quietly.

Lexa took a deep breath. “I-i like to read and h-having fun.” she murmured shakily and looked down at her empty plate.

Sasha’s parents smiled at her and the siblings did as well without all staring at her uncomfortably. They were used to shyness with Sasha and mostly knew ways around bad situations. Emile, who had finished his dinner, was grinning. “I love reading. What do you read, if you don’t mind me asking?” They were next to eat other so he was able to say this very quietly and without attracting attention

”i like romance and dystopian books.” she whispered softly and looked down. her hands was shaking as she fiddled with them in her lap.

Emile smiled at her. “I like those and science fiction,” he whispered back with a grin.
