dan watched the lady walk up the stairs. dan noticed she looked a lot like phil, or perhaps, phil looked a lot like her. dan slowly stepped back, flicking the television off as it was really just creating unnecessary noise.

phil watched as his mum threw her handbag on the counter, walking up the stairs and glancing are dan. "oh, who's this? is this the damien kid you were talking to me about one day?"

dan gave the lady a faint smile as he introduced himself, "my name's Dan, actually.". he shuffled awkwardly in his space, not wanting to seem rude and break eye contact.

she nodded before disappearing into her own room-phil was almost certain that she gave phil a 'suggestive wink' before leaving to change. he ran a hand through his hair, glancing at dan. "well, thats my mum for you." phil laughed nervously, shaking his head. "shes a bit of a.. dork."

"now I know who you get it from." dan smiled playfully, lightly poking phil in the side. he slumped back down on the couch, turning his gaze towards his hands which were neatly set on his lap.

phil scrunched up his nose before sitting down next to dan and sighed. "soooooo, what now?" phil asked, turning his weight over so that he was looking at dan. they had stopped the movie when his mother had came in-and phil was far too lazy to have to get up and replay it, and fastforward to where they had left off because he honestly had no clue.

dan shrugged.
"we could go back into your room? I've never seen it, actually." dan suggested, giving a faint grin.

Phil sighed, shrugging. that was true, Dan had never been in his room for certain reasons. first of all-his mom was quite immature with things like that, and secondly his room was nothing Dan probably would have expected. "yeah sure."

so sorry for not replying, got caught up with stuff

"okay." dan nodded, standing up and beginning to follow Phil to his room. when they had came across the small opening to the room, dan stepped in, looking at all of the colours before him.
"I really like your room." he stated in pure bewilderment, glancing around at all of the nerdy collectibles and such. he smiled, turning to Phil.

phil glanced at dan, unsure if he was being sarcastic or honest. he made a small grunt in approvement before moving over to his bed and crossing his legs. "sooo, what now? we can play mario kart or something." phil suggested with a shrug.
