Olivia Newton Basquill
- Olivia stayed silent for the rest of the time as she waited for her order patiently. She could tell that many people were surprised by her audacity, but she simply ignored them, shrugging it off. Normally, Liv was shy and quiet, and when it came to speaking up for herself, she just couldn't do it for some odd reason. But when others were poked fun at or someone were rude to them, she would either speak up and defend them or try to comfort them instead.
Blinking, she heard her order number being called out and she pushed herself off the wall, grabbing her coffee, thanking them. Before leaving, she made sure to drop some money into the “tips” jar. As she left, Olivia noticed that the girl that she'd spoken up for was leaving. Was she already done with her shift or was she simply taking a break? Seeing the silver bowl filled with water, Liv figured it was for the latter.
Shrugging mentally, the black-haired girl made her way out of the cafe, smiling when her toy poodle, Caramel, stood up, barking at the sight of her, causing Olivia to smile as she went to untie the leash. “Hey girl,” she greeted, scratching her behind the ears, before straightening, her coffee in one hand and the leash in the other. Just then, the smell of smoke entered her nostrils and she looked around, resisting the urge to gag. She hated the smell of cigarettes. Spotting who it was that was smoking, Olivia saw that it was the red-headed girl from earlier. She couldn't help herself when she said, “You know smoking's bad for you, right?”

Caramel had sat down on her haunches as soon as she saw the door close behind her owner. Her brown eyes squinted into the sunlight, her pink tongue lolling out of her mouth as she panted lightly. There were a few times when kids would stop by and scratch her behind the ears, causing her to jump up and wag her tail happily, before they had to leave. Soon, though, she grew tired of waiting and became restless, standing and pacing as far as her leash would allow her.
Hearing the barking of another dog, she looked at the source, her tail wagging slightly as she returned the bark, before catching sight of her owner.
Phoenix Eileen Clark
- Phoenix stared at Konrad for a minute, just to see if he was going to say anything. Seeing that the boy was just standing there silently, she decided she should leave. She was wasting time, just standing there and staring at some boy that wasn't going to say anything. She didn't even know him, nor was she interested in flirting. Then again, Phoenix had never been interested in the world of romantic relations (despite the fact that most books she read included a side plot of romance), believing that all that mattered was her studies.
Just about when she looked down at her golden retriever—who was laying down next to her feet—to tell her to follow her, the girl heard the boy speaking once more, making her glance up to him. She listened silently and politely, smiling faintly at his first statement, nodding a little in a form of “thanks.” For some reason, Phoenix found it a little hard to say “thank you” verbally, and so she'd started nodding them.
Remaining silent, Phoenix shook her head when she realized the male had spoken once more. She blinked, trying to recall what it was he had said. “I'm sorry...what? Oh! No, I honestly have no destination in mind. I was just taking Lullaby for a walk,” she explained, gesturing towards the retriever. “Oh, my name's Phoenix,” she added, once she realized that he'd introduced himself. Glancing at Miduo, she smiled faintly.

Lullaby laid by her owner's feet, letting out a yawn She wanted to continue their walk and she was getting a bit impatient with the boy that had distracted her caretaker from their daily walk. When she glanced up to see her owner looking down at her, the golden retriever pushed herself into a sitting position.
Then, she heard the conversation pick up once more and she sighed, sitting there. Glancing at Miduo, she could tell the border collie (right?) was bored. She continued to watch him with interest as he chased his tail, before successfully chomping down on it.
