Jay smiled. "Nice catch." She said, litening to him talk. She looked back into the water, saw a flash of a fish, but knew it would be gone too quickly for her to catch it. She paitently waited for the next one, which came sooner then she could of hoped for. She charged at it, her whole face ramming into the water like a child would ram their face into a birthday cake. She opened her jaws wide and feltthe brush of a fin against her jaws, then clamped shut.
She almost went the whole way through the fish. She jumped back, and looked rather cross-eyed at the dead creature, quite pleased with herself. She tossed it back with the other one, hearing the smack of the two fish. She bent her head down to the water, lapping up the cold, refreshing liquid. She had not had a drink in a while, so this was incredibly refreshing for her. The river water tasted of melted snow that had unforntently fallen from it's perch on the bank and into the river, and of the fish that were streaming down it. She brought her head back up, licking her chops to clean the blood off of them. "I have been doing this for quite some time." She said, now wanting to sit down, but knowing she could not.

Veikur smiled, still happy about his recent catch. He had only tasted fish as a pup, when his parents could always catch him one. But he had not had any since then, and it was very good. He licked his lips, tasting the sweet blood of the creature. This almost tastes better than moose. he thought to himself, as he liked moose over deer or rabbit. But moose took a lot of effort to hunt. Now that he knew how to fish, he would be going to the river daily.
Thanks! Boy, does fish taste good. Haven't had it in such a long time! he enthused, so glad over his new skill, though he still wasn't very good. He looked into the water, wanting to fish some more, but decided not to spoil the moment-not yet. He had always been good at that, and it wasn't exactly something people liked.
He listened to Jay talking from the other side of the river, and wagged his tail. To him she seemed like a friend, and he always loved having friends. It didn't matter to him that she was from the other pack, as long as she didn't seem aggressive. He would have liked to swim across the river, and be able to talk with her, but he wasn't going to take his chances. So he stayed on his side of the river, though he longed to be on the other side.
So, how's life in the ol' Dauoa pack? he asked, curiosity filling his hazel eyes.

Jay pricked her ears and listened to what Veikur said, then asked. "Uh-huh. Fish is my favorite. And in response to your question, Dauoa is just as boring as it usually is. Nothing speical going on at the moment, anyways. Most of the time, I just stay alone, or go hunting." She said, realizing that she was talking about herself, and quickly back-tracked, not wanting to make her pack look bad. "But it's really awesome. You know, being able to live with others and not have them growl at you everytime you appear out of a bush, like if you were a loner." She then realized she was beginning to talk about something else she despised, and just layed her ears flat and sighed in defeat, staring down into the water. "It's cool." She said blandly, looking up at him and throwing on a smile. "How about Lifandi?" She asked, still poised in the water. Going back to the shore ment being harder to hear and listen, but going across was very risky. He could just be faking friendliness, or he could be fine and one of his pack mates could come out and see them. She took on a thoughtful look and stared into space ofr a moment before snapping back to reality.

Callix gave a warm smile back, and a small smirk at the way Alix flicked her muzzle from the snow. "I usually do the same, just hanging around and doing my job. I'm a hunter. And, as for my pack, I'd have to say I quite like them. But they can be pretty boring!" Callix replied, adding a short laugh at the end. He realized now that his eyes had been glued to the fae the entire time, was it because he was uncertain? Wary maybe? No, that wasn't it. He was truly interested, he wanted to know more about the female.

Callix looked to the trees behind Alix, there were no wolves near them, on either side. Then he returned his dull golden eyes to her. "What's your rank in the pack? How does the alpha treat you guys?" He asked, there were so many questions buzzing in his mind to ask Alix. But he could only let out a few at a time. He hoped she wouldn't mind too much, so he followed up the questions by continuing his warm grin in wait for her response.

Annora looked up to Delsin more, lifting her entire head at his one word reply. She stopped walking all of a sudden, thinking about that reply. It was simple, showing nothing. For some reason, that was extremely funny to her, and she didn't even know why. Annora couldn't help but let out a soft giggle after he said that one word. She couldn't help the smile that spread across her muzzle as she laughed.

Veikur grinned as the fae talked, interested by her willingness to speak with him. He was the enemy, though she was willing to talk to him. He did pick up on her change in tone, and instantly knew that she didn't want to make her own pack seem bad. He knew the packs were probably pretty much the same, nothing different in habits or anything, but he had been trying to make conversation. So he listened intently, his face bright with happiness.
Lifandi's alright. I usually don't have too much to do with anything back in the dens, because I usually go for walks. But the pack is like my family, so I guess you gotta love them, regardless what they do and what they believe in. he stated, looking at Jay for awhile, but shifting his eyes to the water as he started talking a little deeper. He saw a tiny flash go by, which was that of a small fish. He wondered if he would ever have the speed to catch the smaller, faster ones. He also wondered if they tasted any good. He touched the surface of the water only slightly with his nose, and the disruption of the water created little circles in the water, getting larger and fainter as they spread.
"So, were you born in the pack? Or did you come from somewhere else? he asked Jay, widening his eyes as he gazed at her, waiting for the response. He flicked his gray tail, as a painful itch started to creep up the tip of his tail. It wouldn't go away, so he succumbed to submerging his tail in the water. He pulled it out, and was glad to discover the itch had left. Though he was not very pleased with the awkward feeling of his heavy, soaked tail.

Pine needles with an odd undertone of blood
Description:
Aelteth is rather slender, as she does not have much physical strength. Instead, her body lends itself to speed and agility. Her limbs are long and rather thin, and her peltAelteth is considered a medium sized wolf with a thinner build than the average Eurasian wolf. Her coat varies in color from a lighter grey or ochre in the warmer months to a darker reddish brown during the winter. She has white markings on her muzzle, and dark points on her tail and legs.
Personality:
Quiet and aloof, Aelteth often appears to be shy, however that is not the truth. In reality, this female does not like the company of other canines, often finding them to be petty and annoying. She has a deeply rooted love for violence and fights, and she will attack with the slightest provacation. Sneaky and manipulative, Aelteth is extremely adept at making other canines trust her, only to use them to sate her lust for violence and bloodshed, a quality she does not bother to hide. She does not feel that being prone to such violence is a bad thing.

Despite this love of fighting and death, Aelteth is incredibly loyal. She is much more patient with canines who are friends to her, often being pushed to great lengths before snapping at one. However, when she is pushed past her breaking point, she will attempt to kill the canine who caused it, simply for the reason that they annoyed her far too much. Despite her loyalty, Aelteth is not a team player. She hates to share her kills, and will oftentimes bite and tear into other wolves before giving up the tiniest portion of a meal. She cannot tolerate pups at all, and does her best to avoid them, no matter the situation.

To this day, Aelteth loves the thrill of a fight. Unlike some wolves, she does not fear death. Instead she holds a respect for the wolf who will end her life, for surely she will die in battle.
