Leylaks temper ran thin as she realized Hawk was off in another world, not paying attention for a while. She let her head shake but came back to the present nodding and already studying Sages wounds on her neck. Before she darted off to collect the nescessary herbs and cobwebs, Leylak gave Xavier a hesitatedluck on the nose, charging off in embarrassment and how warm her face grew after that. She reached the healers den, stepping her way around Harlow, grabbing a few cobwebs, hare hide, and mint leaves. She picked up a petite, plump snowshoe hare on her way back to Sage.
Leylak avoided the urge tolook over at Xavier, not willing to take the risk of messing up. Leylak inspected the deep gashesleft from a wolf's claws, blood already drying which meant a risk of bacteria already navigating and infecting her blood. "The wounds are treatable and curable still, but hawk should have listened to do it right away." Leylak took a pause in her talking, Taking her tongue to pick off the dried blood, cleaning away the oozing fresh blood as well. She Also took the chance to make a hasty errand to get fresh ice water in the hare hide. "there is a 23% chance if an infection from the inside if and bacteria reached your blood stream... Sage, when I'm done, come with me and I will escort you to my den for now," she said in a slight command, "it's closest to the healers den and I need to keep a close eye on you as you recover, alright?" Leylak finished her extensive talking finishing with a simple yes or no question.
She proceeded on with chewing up the mint leaves and soaking the pasty substance in the chilled water, cleaning it well and letting it soak up some of the water. When she pressed the Chewed mint leaves onto each the wounds in turn, the water was pressured to flow put and clean the open wound before it wa firmly protected by a few layers of cobwebs. "I'm sorry... These few herbs will have to do, the most advanced of our supplies this seasonhas already been exhausted right out." Leylak's tone was sorrow and full of woe as she realized all the herbs were now used up. She saw now that if one more wolf was injured any time soon, there was little that could be done to completely aid them. But Leylak pushed the morbid thoughts from her mind, focusing on Sage and her wounds. She saw blood around the females muzzle and inside her mouth. She nosed the contained water beside the hare, "dont forget to stay hydrated and get rid of the drying blood as well." she spoke, smiling to reassure her in every way. Her lavender orbs reflecting the rays that broke through the cloud line.
