Duma didn't eat and just flattened his ears and watched the ground as the others ate. He got up when he didn't want to watch them eat anymore and he walked away, ignoring Foxy.

Akaya heard Sam's howl and walked towards it. "What could it be now?" she asked herself out loud.

Sam smiles at Akaya, then his smile is quickly replaced with a frown. "Akaya thank you for coming so quickly, we have very important information to discuss today." Sam looked around waiting for the others

Foxy watched Duma and sighed thinking "Maybe he does not like me.... Maybe he just used me to get to my pack!"

Ruby looked at AJ and gulped " No... I mean....uh.. maybe. I just don't get why you don't want pups..."

AJ smiled softly and sighed, "They have a pack to protect and care for their pups. We don't. I think we should wait, but--if you want them right now we could..."

Ruby understood what AJ was saying "I guess it would be better to grow our pack first..." Ruby looked at her paws.

Foxy walked into Ruby's and AJ's den barking "We have a problem!! A bear just raided the food den! I tried to get rid of him but he would not move it!"

Ruby looked at Foxy and barked seriously "OK Follow me!" Ruby leapt outside of the den and to the food den seeing big black bear. She growled and snarled at the bear. The bear replied with a roar "I want your food!" Ruby snapped "And I want pups! But I guess we are both not getting what we want!" Ruby leapt right at the bear snarling and biting into the bear's face. The bear threw Ruby to the ground. Ruby whined.

Foxy leapt at the bear from behind biting him in the neck. The bear could not see Foxy and let out a cry of pain.

Duma heard the bear's roar and rushed back. He jumped on its back, pushed Foxy off, and snapped at its fur, sinking his teeth into the flesh on its neck. He didn't want Foxy to get hurt because he loved her. He shook his head violently and growled loudly, biting more flesh every time he started to loose his grip. The bear roared, reared up, and slammed its back into a wall, crushing Duma between its back and the wall. Duma fell to the ground and got right back up. He jumped back on its back and bit onto its neck again.

AJ watched in horror as the bear hurt Ruby. AJ jumped over to her and picked her up by the scruff. AJ dragged Ruby out of the way and ran towards the bear. With a quick leap AJ clamped his jaws on the bear's neck and didn't let go. The bear thrashed violently and once or twice almost threw AJ off

Sam notices Ali by his side and licks her cheek waiting for the rest of the pack, now getting impatient.
