Mozart sat in his burrow,looking up at the dirt ceiling.He sighed and poked his head out the entrance,scanning the area.He figured everyone was probably at Pumpkins den,since she had just had her pups.He decided to wander around.He scurried out of his den,past where all the other meerkats were,running as fast as his short legs could carry him.He didnt know why,but he didnt want anyone to see him.He soon slowed down,coming to the border of their "camp".He crossed over it,looking from side to side,and in the air for any predators.He finally continued walking,searching for some food or water.He looked in an old scarggly bush,seeing a beetle.He swiped at it,making it shoot off.He quickly ran after it,his paws burning in the hot desert sun.He finally caught it,chewing on it for awhile when he saw a strange figure in the distance.He shrugged and began rembering his family,the one he jad lost so long ago.He sighed and sat down on his haunches,looking up at the sky as memories began flooding into his head.
