One night, the animals of the forest called a meeting. The birds and squirrels ran all around saying to meet by the Old Oak. Wolves, bears, coyotes, bobcats, birds, rodents, foxes, and others came from all over the Great Forest. Before the meeting, animals fended for themselves and often fought.

At the meeting, a wolf named Luna addressed the crowd. "Friends, it is time to join together, as allies. This forest needs order. I propose that we set up a general set of rules for the forest and split ourselves into groups."

Whispers were heard amongst the crowd. Luna silenced them.

"First, we shall meet once a month, at this very spot, to share news and decide upon important matters. Second, any animal who does not come to meetings, excluding the young and old, is not a part of our organization. They are prey. Third, no animal may eat any other that is with us. Fourth, rules for individual groups are at the discretion of that group's leader. Any comments?" Luna said.

An old owl spoke up. "How will the groups be chosen?"

"That should be decided today. I propose that the wolves form a pack. I will be leader." Luna said with confidence. "Also, I assume the foxes will have their own skulk, the bears will walk alone, the birds have a flock-

A large bald eagle squawked for attention. "I will be the leader. Are there any objections?

No bird spoke up.

Luna nodded and went on. "A clan of wildcats, most likely bobcats, lynx, and cougars will be arranged. Of course, animals can forn separate groups, but you know, safety in numbers. So, what do you say?"

There was a murmur of approval. Animals began forming groups.

Basically, this is a roleplay of a forest. The animals are from northern United States to southern Canada. The meeting above happened a few generations ago. There are very few still alive from this time. In the next post there will be a list of all the groups and their individual rules and ranks. You are free to create your own group if you would like that includes friends, family, members or all the same animal that I did not mention.
