Welcome to Birds of a Paradise
A semi-literate, bird romance RP.

All of us, unusual or unique in many different ways. But all of us share one thing in common that binds us all together. Wings. We can spread our wings and fly to one of the most remote retreats the world has to offer. The sky. Though the skies hold many things such as secrets and love, do the skies we call home hold danger as well?

Information About The Paradise Birds and the RP
The birds of paradise are a group of birds that are found in the tropical rainforests of south east Asia, mainly in the jungles of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and parts of eastern Australia, and the RP is based in the jungles of Idonesia.
Many of the birds of paradise species feed on fruits and berries found in the canopy of the surrounding jungle. Some species however, are very partial to eating insects and other birds of paradise favour particular species of spider.
Birds of paradise are best known for the beautiful array of feathers which are existent on the male birds of paradise, which the male bird of paradise uses to attract the attention of the surrounding female birds of paradise. As with many species of bird, the female birds of paradise are dull looking in comparison to their male counterparts and are generally smaller and have light brown feathers.

More About the RP
The RP is based in a rainforest located in Idonesia, the RP is only semi-realistic being that all of the bird species can fall in love with another bird not of their species and have offspring. The jungle and it's landscape is better explained later on, and the ALL the birds are vegatarians. Meaning they do not eat meat.

Rules
All of Tess's rules apply- No ifs, or buts about it.
No powerplaying, or god-modding- I don't want people being invincable or anything, that is just unfair to other roleplayers. Example: Bob flew over to Jim and tackled him to the ground until he died.
PG-13 violence and mating- Please make it fade to black when mating, and try to avoid very bloody scenes.
No magical powers or abilities- This RP is basically realistic, so no super powers or anything.
No posting one liners- This is a semi-literate to literate RP, meaning 3-4 lines at least per post. Also I like it when people pretty their posts, but that is not required.
Pictures!- I want pictures in the form please! Preferably realistic pictures.
I don't require a secret code or anything, but please just follow the rules, I will know it if you don't.
Wait until I accept you- Don't RP until I accept you. This does not apply for the people that have already joined and want to make a character! It also doesn't apply for offspring!

Setting
We live in a lush tropical rainforest. Most of us live high up in the trees, but some of live in dens on the ground. Humans have started coming to our retreat more often, and some spread rumors that these humans hunt down some of the birds here for their beautiful feathers. Though most of us refuse to believe this nonsense, we all know deep down that it is true...

Weather
It is sunny here right now, with a few clouds laying overhead.

Season
The long cold monthes of winter have just recently ended, and the cold is slowly, but surely wearing off. Soon it will be the happy months of spring, and the mating season will begin.
