The Wild Horses of Utasia V.2 - Not Accepting.

Steel chuckled and pricked his ears when he heard Missy return. "My name is Steel Darkness though most just stick to Steel. I was told it was because of my coat," he said gesturing to the deep dapple grey coat he sported but never saw. "May I be so bold to ask your name Miss?"

Cloudburst smiled and turned on his heel, actually feeling positive about this encounter. "Nice to meet you Hakor, my name's Cloudburst," he said happily trotting back toward the thicket.

Pyro awoke at the approach of hoofbeats. Normally she wouldn't be worried with Cloudburst around but he wasn't there. She balked and froze, it was spring and spring meant 3 things: 1) her heat scent would be back. She sniffed and yup it was there, 2) Cloudburst was a stallion and could have been mare hunting, leavi her alone and vulnerable for 3) Rift Cloud's return. She laid her ears flat and braced herself until she saw her little appy son emerge happy with himself.
"Good lord you know a way to terrorize me don't you?" She snipped slightly until her attention diverted to who followed him. It was a mare she didn't know but didn't care to know. She turned and began to graze, facing away with her tail clamped.

Shadow chuckled then froze. "Still have your heat scent I see."

Barak sniffed her then came up to her tail. "I think it is your heat scent."

Missy- "Well it suites you nicely Steel. My whole name is If I'm Not Mistaken, but most know me a Missy. I don't know why though." She said with a smile. "Well Now we're all introduced n' such, how'd you end up here? Apparently I was supposed to belong here, in Utasia. I'm guessing your from around here, but you look nothing like the rest of these horses." She said curiously.

Hakor- She had seen how un-sociable Pyro had been and she stayed slightly behind Cloudburst and spoke nervously. "Hi there, Sorry to interrupt your day, I'm Hakor." She introduced herself, because it was polite, even though Pyro had turned herself around. She stuck close to Cloudburst's side, unsure of what the mare might do. She didn't realize she was brushing against him with her nervousness.

Rose- She stopped and pondered for moment, she thought it would have gone by now at her age. "I guess so." She said turning back around and blinking in surprise. If Shadow wanted another foal she would be glad to. She just hadn't really thought of it.

Esperanza- She looked at her tail. "I'm not sure what that is, but can you get rid of it?" She asked flicking her tail as if to test it.

Cloudburst touched her with his muzzle for reassurance. "Im sorry about all this, you don't have to worry Pyroclastic will probably just ignore you now. She's much more tolerable when its not Spring," he answered quietly so Pyro wouldn't overhear. He looked up at her with a mix of guilt and shame for bringing her into this mess.

Steel nodded and grinned a little. "It's suiting though, you sound like a Missy," he answered. He was pleased he had someone to talk to again. It reminded him of when Eclipse would pay him mind, then a he got a dull pang in his chest, especially overhearing her speak with the new guy who seemed to be hanging around.

Hakor- She gave him a slight nuzzle to show him it wasn't his fault. "It's okay, I agreed to come remember?" She said with a small smile, just as quiet as he was so as not to disturb the peace.

Missy- She chuckled. "I guess so." She said, she was unsure of that but she didn't have to rely on hearing and smell so she didn't know. "I know this is kind of sensitive but have you always been blind?" She asked cautiously wanting to know if he had seen any of his world before. She moved closer so he might know her position as their pelts brushed.

Cloudburst gave her a friendly nuzzle and smiled, "thanks for being so understanding about this. A lot aren't."

Steel took into consideration her care around the subject and decided it'd be fine to answer. He nodded briefly. "Since I was born. I was born here with my twin sister, who is completely sound, to Poesis and Oaka. My father took off when I was a yearling and Cavalia took me in," he said also answering her previous question. He'd noted from the family reunion that Missy's family had been from Utasia but her confirmation affirmed his earlier theories.

Missy- "Oh, well..." She wasn't sure what to say. "My family is pretty messed up, lots of things happened while we traveled. Once I asked my mom why she left my dad in the first place, she had said that she didn't know why. Another time Lakita was snaked from us one spring, I was... a yearling I think. Lakita barely escaped. She wouldn't talk to us for weeks though." She stopped when she realized she was rambling and flushed and let out a "Whoops" and hoped he wouldn't mind her endless rambling.

Hakor- She smiled. "It's no problem. I'm just not like most." She told him playfully pulling on his mane once.

Shadow came up to her and nuzzled her. "Do you want a foal?"

Barak blinked stunned. He thought of what his mother told him. "I guess." [-fades to black-] He slowly came to her side and nuzzled her. "You ok Esperanza?"

Esperanza- She blinked a couple times, now she understood what it meant. She nodded but she wasn't entirely sure. "Will my family notice?" She asked as thoughts ran wildly through her head. What she was yet to get was that now, she would be taking care of another life next spring.

Rose- "Well..." she said pausing like she actually had to think about it but she was smiling the whole time. "Yes Shadow, I would love a foal. " she said with a soft smile and moved her tail out of the way.

Steel lifted his eyebrows and smiled completely fine with her talking. It was rather nice to be around a rambler as it broke the dead silent. "Sounds eventful, but with stallions it usually is."

Cloudburst nodded gratefully and looked around a little. His father was nowhere to be found so maybe it was safe to go elsewhere. "Mom, why don't we leave the forest? Dad's going to know to come here and you're pretty safe with me."

Pyro turned at her son's inquiry and looked at him with a little scrutiny. She wouldn't exactly be safe since he was even smaller than she was. She was ready to say no but the look of young adventure in her eyes made her feel guilty for trapping him in the forest like this. "You go, I'll find another spot to hide."
