Gender-Stallion
Herd Mares-Sun and Zee

Relic

He watched Sun and her son exchange a sort of goodbye before movement caught his eye. His gaze turned to Dark, watching her as she seemed to be waiting on him and as if to prove it, she called him to come to her. Relic looked to Zee and then towards Sun before walking to Dark the snow seemig to crunch under his large hooves. "Seems you're back for a short stay?" It was used as a question instead of a statement. He let a nicker out to both of his other two mares, basically telling them to come over to where Dark and himself were. He had a feeling the cold was what had brought her back, it wouldn't surprise him but he also wouldn't expect her to admit such a thing for her reasoning.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Shetan

Shadowing Ruby

She watched her stallion's approach towards them and only sniffed in greeting as if he didn't feel like talking. She could tell her was angry over something, just by his movements since she had known him since they were yearlings. Ruby pawed at the snow, revealing a few blades of frozen grass but it would do. She ripped up the cold grass and ate it before looking as Flare went up to Shetan and Rift did the exact opposite. He keep distance between himself and then stallion but Ruby did not know why.

Gender-Yearling Filly
Herd-Shakil

Cherokee Wildfire

"I think the odds are always in your favor." The yearling told her father and nuzzled him before resting her head over his back. She was tall enough to do such a thing now, the approaching age of two wasn't exactly thrilling to her. She liked the secluded area of where her parents were,85"" it seemed rather nice and without any threats. Leaving such comfort and safety would be a challenge in her mind, she knew pretty much nothing of what the dangers were out there except for predators. Cherokee wouldn't expect a stallion such as Shetan to even exsist but the yearling was pretty prepared if she had to defend herself.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Marvel

Haven's Star

She snorted at the response she was given. She then looked to her grandfilly. "To your great grandsire's herd." She said to answer to filly's question. "A bit of introductions would help some I suppose. Bandy, I'm your granddam, also Adelita's mother and the stallion that took off is your grandsire, your mother's father. Haven then looked to Adelita who gently nudged her filly forward before looking at Advocate once and then waiting for Haven to lead her. The black mare did exactly that, at a slow pace for the filly.

"It was dark and I was over, until you kissed my lips and you saved me."

Asha was alone in the valley this year, hiding in the lee of a patch of trees. The paint mare stuck out a bit against the dark stand of woods and the light dusting of snow. She let out a large breath, her exhalation not even appearing as visible vapor. Spring was coming, but it seemed to be taking its time. In the lone mare's opinion, it couldn't come soon enough.

"As your sweet dreams dissolve, I'll crash and burn."

Sun tossed one last look to the yearlings as her stallion called for her, then turned and followed Zee and Relic. She wasn't one to be ordered around, but was still happy from seeing her son and meeting her sister. She paused on Relic's other side, seeing as Zee had taken one side and they were all facing the few spot mare in front of them. As Zee introduced herself, so did Sun. "And I'm Sun." The mare said quickly, then fell silent.

"Feels so good being bad, there's no way I'm turning back."

Dark huffed at her billowing mane as it slapped her in the face. She tossed her head, forcefully putting all the loose strands of long hair in their place. As the stallion came up to her, she drew herself up, though it was a bit difficult due to her large foal belly. The way he then asked his question made her bristle a bit, but she did note that he made it a question and not a statement. Seemed he was at least trying to keep in mind the fact that she could do whatever she wanted whenever she wanted. "Just consider yourself lucky I showed up at all." She began, but halted her speech as he called his mares over. She once again bristled, but only because she was wary about the prospect of being in a herd.
She then looked over the two mares that had come up with him, eyes haughtily narrowed. It was no wonder he had picked them up, they were flashy, colorful mares who — from what Dark had observed in her short time of being there — seemed to be nice and kind souls. However, both seemed slim and of a normal weight for mares harboring winter without being in foal. Her narrowed eyes turned an accusing stare on Relic. But, she had to address his mares first. "Dark Light. If you wish to shorten it, call me Dark." She'd long ago grown out of the nickname of 'Light', and she probably wouldn't respond to it anymore. "As for you, Relic, I do believe that we have some private manners to discuss? After we get that out of the way I'm sure we all can go on enjoying each other's company this winter." She answered his question at last, but also meant for them to move off a bit so she could ask what in the world he was thinking. Unless those mares tend to not show their pregnancies, which is very unlikely, neither one of them is pregnant. Ugh, stallions! Of course he wasn't going to come through. Dark managed to remain pleasant on the outside, though her actions seemed almost forced and definitely coated in icy curtness. She turned and strode a few paces away, then looked back at Relic, her mane once again blowing across her face.

Bandy cocked her head and listened to the black mare with the silvery mane and tail. What she said was extremely interesting, and the filly quickly pieced together all the little tidbits Haven had given her. But which grandsire? It was more likely to be her grandsire's sire because stallions seemed to be funny that way, only liking family. Bandy's mother then nudged her and the filly followed her granddam. Her tail no longer hurt, but had suffered permanent injury. She could still use her tail and such, but now whenever she picked it up even a little, her tail quickly resembled that of domestic Saddlebreds of the past. The way her tail was now made it comfortable for her tail to either be relaxed and down or basically just straight up. She chose holding her tail high for the journey, and soon picked up a bit of a trot while still staying behind her granddam. "Ok, Granddam." She replied a bit late to Haven.

"No, there ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good."

Advocate moved closer to his mare then watched the others leave. As they began to go, he called out after them, regretting not speaking earlier. "I'll find my own patch of Utasia. Figure I'm a bit old to keep running back to daddy." He said as he smiled bittersweetly after them. He didn't mention that he'd probably be safer from Shetan if he wasn't near Marvel or horses close to him. He didn't want to cut himself off from his family, but Marvel had ben picked out for special torture by Shetan. And the black appaloosa had just proved that he'd use anyone close to his rival against Marvel. So, the solution was to not be close to Marvel.
The stallion turned to Zira. "Well, then, you know any good spots to wait out these last days of winter?"

"This is it boys, this is war. What are we waiting for?"

Shetan was a bit glad when his snippety mare didn't comment on his timing. He huffed, still upset, but his anger was leeching away, especially since he had his herd to deal with. His near yearling daughter ran up to him, her body looking a bit battered. The stallion's eyes narrowed and his had jacked itself up. Brimming with suspicion, he flipped his lip up. No scent of predators, but he did catch whiff of his son. His black head snapped around and he half glared at his colt as Rift made sure to keep space between himself and his father. But, his unruly offspring would have to be dealt with later, in the mean time he had an extra mare.
Shetan's bright blue eyes ran over Ginger's features, drinking in all he could gather about her from just looking at her. His lip twitched, but did not flip itself up again. "Hello," he rumbled, that gravely tone was something he got from his grandsire. "And who might who be?"

Gender-Stallion
Herd Mares-Zee and Sun

Relic

He watched the mares introduce themselves before Dakr spoke up again. "Give us a second." He said to the two mares, his gave then an apologetic look but it was gone once he turned to Dark and followed her a few paces away. "If you really expected me to find one right after you leafy that's crazy Dark. It was nearly the end of spring once you left." It wasn't exactly an excuse but more of a reason of why she didn't have what she expected.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Marvel

Haven's Star

She smiled softly and looked to the filly before nuzzling her. "You can call me Haven, Bandy." The mare told her as she kept going and nodded to Advocate. "Your reasoning is the mature one, Advocate." She said to the stallion, giving him a curt nod.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Advocate

Zira

She had been silent and then heard Advocate's reply. She then realized he asked her a question. "No, none that I know of." She said in response to him. The dark mare pulled her head from over his back and then looked around.

Gender-Colt
Herd-Shetan

Rift Cloud

He watched his father for a moment or two before his attention was drawn to the newcomer. Rift took this opportunity to move out of Shetan's eyesight and behind the stallion. The grey appoloosa stayed behind his father and dug up some grass with his hoof before eating it. The almost yearling was bigger and bulkier than his sister now, no longer than scrawny sickly looking newborn.

Gold sniffed the air after a while of searching. He went towards where he knew and searched from there, he had been searching for Asha first. He smelled a mare, he couldn't tell who it was though. He had been away too long. He just went towards the scent anyways hoping, that it was Asha or Shiner, or at least the mare wasn't trouble. He slowed to a choppy trot and approached carefully. He let out a Whinny in welcome to the mare. (It is Asha he's headed towards by the way :3)

Isis smiled when it started snowing. She looked at Caz. "I was wondering when it would start snowing and it has."

Flare nuzzled Shetan. "What's wrong Daddy?" She shook her mane softly. Though she wasn't bulky like her brother, you could easily see there was power and strength in the filly. She could rather easily hold her own in a fight.

Ginger Snap smiled at Shetan. "Hello I'm Ginger Snap. I followed your colt back to make sure he was safe." She moved away and swished her tail in his face. "I guess I'll be going now."

Cavalia smiled at her. "I'm glad you like it."

"It was dark and I was over, until you kissed my lips and you saved me."

Asha looked through the dark trees as an impossible whinny sounded. Something so familiar, yet so foreign. Like someone had taken something she had known down to the core, then remolded it into something new. It was the same material, but in a completely different shape and style. Still she leaned towards the sound, but managed to keep her feet in the same place. Instead of going to whoever was calling, she sent a reply whinny into the dark and all of her loneliness somehow escaped into that one call. The mare was too caught up in it all to even begin to guess that it was actually Gold, back from the grave, for she was sure he had died.

"Feels so good being bad, there's no way I'm turning back."

Dark scowled, having decided a few minutes ago she was going to give him a hard time. "Oh, shut up. If I went over there and asked those mares how long they've been with you, would either of them say 'since last spring'? I'd bet so," she snorted, lashing her tail a few times just to prove to herself that she was worked up. "What now then? Because did you honestly expect me to stay around? Well if you were, crush that hope right now, because as soon as this foal is on the ground I'm gone." She drew back, looking keenly into his face to make sure he knew that what she had just said was true, even if she wasn't truly angry. "Especially now. I gave you advice, told you how this was going to be," she paused, once again giving him a puzzled, exasperated look.
Looking at him now, she realized that she actually was cross. But not necessarily at him. She let out some noise between a snort and a sigh, relaxing her high and mighty position. She didn't want to be forced into another band, but who was there to force her? Her father, the only horse who could ever wield such power over her, was dead. A stallion could only ever do so much to keep her within his band, and while there wasn't always a way to a free life, there was always a way to freedom. However, she just couldn't do this. She wouldn't become the third mare. Actually she wouldn't even be the first mare, if there were others. Two horse herds, she'd heard of them, but always thought second best stallions ran them. The ones who were not able to hold onto more than one mare. But maybe there was a different reason for those bands. Singular love, the love between just one stallion and one mare. Oh, but no kind of love was for Dark. While the one-on-one relationship was a bit more appealing than herd life, none of those fairy tales had her in it. For her name was not Light, it was Dark. She had to wander, causing trouble as she went because she was the villainess of the stories she created. But there, of course, was a problem. Age was her immortal enemy, time had even caught up to Ebony. And trouble-causing didn't increase her longevity.
She snapped out of her thought, shaking her head. After a moment, she let her blue eyes meet Relic's, but her gaze was doubtful. "Alright, Relic, I changed my mind. I will stay with you and we will raise our foal together. However, as in any deal, both parties have to benefit. Don't worry, I'm not asking for much. Just the fact that I will come and go as I please and when I chose to come, I'll take up my position as lead mare. As for any more foals between you and me, maybe." With that out of her system and her turbulent mind calming, the black few spot stood before Relic with her head raising itself high.

Bandy nodded, but decided not to try out the new name on her tongue until she needed to use it. Things like her granddam's name were held in high regard by the filly, she wasn't just going to go around abusing her knowledge. That trait of hers had to do with how both Dark and Shetan collected information, as much as they could from anyone they could. However, each horse used the trait differently, and she treated information like treasure. However, she didn't want to know about everything, just the things that concerned her, as those pieces of information were the most relevant and therefore the most valuable.

"No, there ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good."

Advocate gave an equine shrug, learned from Vela. "Ah well, no problem. Spring's nearly here anyway." He said, looking distastefully at the snow. Eventually even those who loved winter would get sick of it, he supposed, with winter's biting chill and heaps of snow and irritation and hardship. With a huff, he turned to brighter thoughts and nuzzled his mare's side. A foal of his would come into the world next year, he couldn't be in the way of Shetan any more.

"This is it boys, this is war. What are we waiting for?"

One of Shetan's hind hooves lifted up then stomped down into the ground; he was letting his son know that he knew Rift was back behind him. So many things were going on at once, his filly was talking then this new mare was... He was tempted to snap. However, he couldn't afford to with spring so close and a new mare right here before him. Unless she herself was not very good, she would get scared off by his brutal nature. He quickly addressed his daughter first. "Ah, just some stallion stuff. I'll tell you later if you still want to know then." As soon as he finished that sentence, he promptly ignored Flare.

The mare was speaking, but also turning away. Her tail snapped up near his face, but he pulled his head high to avoid the strands. But almost immediately after his initial reaction, his head ducked down and out. His stained teeth snatched a good portion of her tail, to prevent her from swishing it at him again. He then moved forwards a few steps and gave a tug on her tail. "Going so soon? But we've not even properly met." He was feeling comfortable with his band around him and that made him bold. The appaloosa stallion slung his head over her rump then walked up closer to her head, gently dragging his head along her back. "I'm Shetan. I suppose a 'thank you' would normally be due, but I don't say that to anyone." He glanced back to the herd as he lifted his head off her back, but continued talking. "Oh, but Ginger, isn't it sad? You haven't a stallion to run back to. After all, what normal, silly stallion would let his mare go wandering, especially near a battle?" He bumped her cheek with his muzzle, then swung his head around to look at his son. He was smiling for the mare, but his smile was too sickly sweet as he aimed it at Rift. "Spring would be so lonely, wouldn't you think?" He said, still looking at his son and only returning his gaze to Ginger after he had finished speaking.

Zee thought about how far from her family she was, but it had never bothered her. Even for a skittish, shy mare she loved to travel. She liked to see the world and in many different ways as well. She knew now though that settling down was a good idea, and she was warming up to it more and more. She lifted her head up and breathed in the air, she smelled spring coming and the waterhole and all the nature around her. She enjoyed it so much. She went back to grazing quietly, she was a patient mare and didn't mind them talking in the slightest.

He couldn't believe he finally found her. Then suddenly he noticed she seemed out of it. He wondered what was wrong, Was Shiner okay? Had something happened? Did someone hurt her? Questions flew through his head, but he stayed silent about them for now.

Gender-Stallion
Herd Mares-Sun and Zee

Relic

The stallion was snark enough to wait until she made up her mind and her mood became more controlled and somewhat calm. Once she stated her terms, he spoke, finding nothing wrong with them if he wanted his first foal to survive. "That is perfectly fine Dark." He said to her, he was not submitting to this head strong mare but rather working with her to keep her around every now and then. Spring was almost around and thus, depending on if he courted her again, he would ask the two mares with him if they wanted them, if so he's be prepared if she wanted to just drop a foal off, under such situations. Relic looked her over before turning his gaze to Sun and Zee. "Is that it?" His tone was just neutral.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Marvel

Haven's Star

She soon spotted Brumby and Vela up ahead. The black mare smiled and looked back to Adelita and Bandy to see how the two were doing. She watched her daughter stick close to her filly, a bit on edge. Concern for her daughter was normal for the mare, her being the only foal Haven had ever had it was typical. She sighed and quickened her pace slightly before she came to a stop a few feet from the stallion and mare, dipping her head in greeting. "Marvel went after Adara....she took off." She informed them.

Gender-Mare
Herd-Advocate

Zira

She smiled when he nuzzled her side. Surprisingly she wasn't as rounded as she had been with Galaxy, she expected this to be a filly but it could surprise her. Zira nuzzled the stallion in return, "What do you think it is?" She asked him referring to the gender of their foal.

Gender-Colt
Herd-Shetan

Rift Cloud

He was unsure of whether or not he should be afriad of his father's expression or not. Rift didn't find it unsettling but had a feelings Shetan was hinting at something the colt couldn't yet grasp. "I suppose so, without a mare to keep you company and be loyal to only you, yes, I could get lonely depending on who you are." Rift said in response returning a smile, seemingly similar to his father's. Shetan's expressions weren't hard for Rift to mimick, it seemed it came naturally for the colt to use his fathrr's expressions.
