(Nope Makani, and PMing you Blackout.)
I've found a reason to show,
A side of me you didn't know.
A reason for all that I do,
And the reason is you.
~xX After the Rain Xx~
Rai moved higher up the cliff, her hooves clattering on the bare rock. She was trying to get a better angle so as to see Poesis and his family better. As she moved, she thought she saw something move with her, but was unsure. She had her head down so she could carefully pick her way expertly up the cliff. But then there was a soft thud. Her ear flicked and just as her eyes narrowed in suspicion and she began to raise her head, it attacked. A mountain lion was now on her back, and she was screeching and it was trying to bury its fangs in her. Frantic and forgetting where she stood, she bucked and fought as best she could against an enemy she could only feel, hear and smell. As always with her, her bad leg slipped and the two went tumbling down the cliffside. As they tumbled lower down, the cliffs became vertical and then they were in free fall. It wasn't long before they hit the ground, Rai landing on her back and the cat. She heard a snap and numbly rolled over so she was stretched out on her side. Nobody would miss her, unless some horse thought to try and put together a family reunion. And Poesis would just think she'd disappeared, she wouldn't have been in the sight of the band he was visiting. At least now she could make up for all that she'd done. Transferring from the numb state she was in to death was easy, it was just like falling asleep for her. And then she was gone.

Who do you think you are?
Runnin' round leaving scars,
Collecting your jar of hearts,
And tearing love apart.
~xX Pax Romana Xx~
Pax slowly inched away from Zanzibar and Shadow, nervous as she began to nonchalantly walk away. The only mare in the band acted as if she had been imprisoned by the older stallion. Pax sure didn't want that to be her.

As you doze off alone,
I'll toss and turn.
As your sweet dreams dissolve,
I'll crash and burn.
~xX Bloody Sun Dance Xx~
Sun was still at the watering hole, of course, she'd moved back to the valley she had found Brumby's herd in. It had been empty, the stallion had moved her mother's band. But it was there that she gave birth to and raised her Sandman. But soon enough he wanted to go out on his own as well and she made him promise lots of visits and to be careful. Of course he did this with a snort and a roll of the eyes, but he had been sincere. The appaloosa arab mare was tempted to try and go tease some stallions, but was unsure if she was up to that lifestyle. She huffed, her lips flapping as her breath whooshed past them. But she might as well get a drink, she'd start there. So she arched her neck down to the water and started to drink.

The glow that the sun gives,
Right around sunset,
Helps me realize, this is just a journey.
Drop your worries, you're gonna turn out fine.
~xX The Sandman Xx~
The Sandman struck off on his own, though he often went back to seek out his loner mother. He was just a yearling, but that didn't stop him from exploring. He knew how this herd business worked, even though he'd never been in one. His mother had often told him of his father's herd, recalling back to when it had existed. He let out a whinny, prancing along a ridge and wondering if there were any other yearlings to meet.

Oh no, I can't slow down, I can't hold back,
Though you know I wish I could.
No, there ain't no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good.
~xX Devil's Advocate Xx~
Advocate returned her smile and happily walked by her bloated side. He put his muzzle on her side briefly and picked up a slow trot.
"We'll have a grand time," he said, as he started musing about the future.

Nobody's a picture perfect,
Everybody's got a dark side.
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
~xX The Colors of Falling Xx~
Oaka continued to view Poesis, and she was so, so unsure. She looked down at Phantasma then leaned down to ask her something. Her dark muzzle brushed against her daughter's grey ear, and the mare realized that she didn't have to put her head down nearly at all. Her latest babies were growing up. She'd asked Phantasma,
"Do you want to go with him?" She'd lived five years of her life with Brumby and all the while, Poesis came back and hung close by. She then moved her muzzle to Steel's ear and repeated the question.

All this and you traded it for nothing.
A cheap lie, you put it in your pocket.
All this, yeah, you traded it for nothing.
Oh my, I can see your heart has met its end.
~xX Silver Phantasma Xx~
Phantasma pressed her muzzle to her brothers, nickering to him. She then had begun to nod to her father, eyes wide as she absorbed her father's advice. But then her mother whispered a question in her ear and after a dumbstruck moment, she was speechlessly and furiously nodding her head in a yes. She stopped her nodding after Oaka touched her shoulder again. Smiling, she trotted over to her father, head low and mouth moving in the submissive way she had learned. The grey filly's ears moved forwards and she touched her muzzle to his.

The writing's on the wall.
But if your mind's neglected,
Stumble you might fall.
~xX Go Boy's Pearly Shine Xx~
Shiner giggled with her daughter, feeling like a silly filly once again. Her filly was growing up so big and beautiful and Shiner at times just couldn't believe how time could fly.

Feels so good being bad,
There's no way I'm turning back.
Now pain is my pleasure
'Cause nothing could measure.
~xX Dark Light II Xx~
Dark tilted her head to view the stallion. She suspected that he was not too far from her own age, but since she'd just turned ten, she was starting to feel a bit, well,
old. It was extremely frustrating, as it was completely mental. She was still in her prime, mentally and physically, but that double digit, it bothered her. It reminded her she wasn't immortal. Relic then spoke and she was jostled out of her thoughts. Honestly, she was a bit annoyed with stallions right now, but she covered up her true feelings so as to talk to him normally.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. That was what I had been talking about before." She was still shaking off her thoughts and focusing in on him, and was absentmindedly swishing her tail to help her do so. But, it was spring. So her heat scent had returned, and while it was not very strong now it would definitely bother her later.

This is it boys,
This is war.
What are we waiting for?
Why don't we break the rules already?
~xX The Intentions of Shetan Xx~
Shetan watched her go then returned to grazing, not really sure how this worked. After all, it was just a mare thing, he'd leave her to it. His job came into play when she came back. Then he'd play father for the first time in his life, and see if she wanted to be covered again. His ears flicked as he heard hooves dully hitting the ground and raised his head, expectantly waiting. And then Ruby came back, nickering. Two foals tumbled around her, one obviously weaker then the other. The strong one, a golden filly with some darker spots, came up to him. He snorted, unintentionally blowing air in her face. She had very few scents on her, those of her father and mother were on her as well as the wind and the grass and the trees. But she had not quite developed her own scent yet. He turned to look at the colt, dismissing the filly as decent offspring. The colt was nowhere near as promising. The stallion's eyes hardened and he turned his gaze to Ruby. Before he brought up his ideas on weak foals, he would provide a test to see how much she wanted them.
"They got names yet?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once upon a time somebody ran,
Somebody ran away saying,
'Fast as I can, I got to go, I got to go.'
Once upon a time we fell apart.
~xX Xanthos Xx~
Xanthos threw a puzzled look at Galaxy but nodded carefully. Her eyes were now always sneakily slanting to him, curious as to his plan. Meanwhile, she began to wander on the fringes of the herd, snatching grass and flicking her yearling tail.

I'll walk with my head down,
Trying to block you out,
'Cause I will never impress you.
I just wanna feel ok again.
~xX Casting Shadows Xx~
Cast looked over to Cavalia, once again admiring how he seemed to fit right in this amazing landscape of the waterfall caves. She walked over to him then nudged his shoulder in greeting, flicking her tail to keep it from getting damp from moisture. But she had the same problem her mother had. Heat scent.

Don't judge a thing until you know what's inside it,
Don't push me, I'll fight it.
Never gonna give in,
Never gonna give it up, no.
~xX Herne's Shakil Xx~
Shakil started to follow, but saw the way she was holding herself and remembered how his other mares had acted. So he waited and they came. He was grinning, eyes all over his filly. Their filly.
"Congrats," he called, eyes turning to the roughed up mare.
"She's lovely."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How do I explain it,
When I don't know what to say?
What do I do now?
So much has changed.
~xX The Magic Touch Xx~
Midas noted Jade's now very bloated stomach and then looked at Ra.
"Obviously we're expecting a grandfoal soon, eh Ra?" He asked, winking to his son before straightening up and meeting Jade's eyes.
"It's just as much a pleasure to meet a mare like yourself, I can see where you get your name from." He commented, closing his blind eye in order to better see her green eyes.
