Dark smiled at Wind's nuzzle and let them all have some time together. She stood watch for any danger, her ears flicking back to her happy band every so often.

Shakil sighed. "And let you guys kill each other? No. I've already saved that ungrateful piece of horseflesh once, I don't enjoy having my good work wasted." He trotted to the water's edge and watched the mare he was left with, now pondering if she still would enjoy his company in a band.

Devil cut her off and rolled his eyes a bit. "Hey, did you see all those stallions? A quick escape was needed." He smirked a bit, realizing he had a bit of work ahead of him.

Rai turned away a bit. "Well, I almost wasn't alone. So, no." She replied, swishing her own tail and kicking at her barrel again. She shifted uncomfortably and looked up at Reaper. "Why are you out and about without your partner in crime?" She shot back, still shifting around .

Reaper looked over at three mare with a sting in his eye, not even bothering to hide the fact that she hit a nerve. "Flame is dead if you must know. Now excuse me while I try and find a wet nurse for our newborn daughter."

Shadow watched them with loving eyes. He knew Dark was alert and so was he.

Calypso glared at him. "They were my brothers. After visiting them for a while I was going to go look for a stallion of my own."

This time Devil couldn't hold back a short chuckle. "Well, look at that. Seems he found you." He kept smiling, pondering different tactics to handle this red hot mare.

Rai tilted her head and cocked her ears. flame died while foaling? Huh. For a moment she was ready to step out of his way and hope that their paths didn't cross again, but then his words and her dilemma finally clicked. What a star-crossed coincidence. She thought briefly, then wondered if he would accept her if she offered. Well, too bad. I'm gonna shoot anyway, what's the worst that could happen? Not even answering her mental question, she opened her mouth once more. "I-I'm sorry?" She started out hesitant, then steeled herself to become firmer. "But you know, Reaper, you've hit your luck, 'cause I could. I mean, be the wet nurse for your filly." There, done. And in the aftermath of it, her mind began sporting reasons why she would offer.

More like a waste of your time," she replied cooly wading out. She stretched a bitter look on her face. " Thank you though, It was rather an unfair fight." she watched Shakil closely her eyes softening a bit.

Grimm Reaper

Reaper stopped in mid-step and turned to face the mare. "Now hold on a minute, did I just hear right? You're volunteering to feed the daughter of the stallion who took advantage of you, is that what you are saying?" he asked rather incredulously. He could barely believe his ears but he noiced she nudged her belly area a lot and that would explain it having not expelled the milk. "If that's what you're offering, I'm only accepting for the benefit of my daughter and no other reason."

Shakil scowled a bit, but his face loosened when she thanked him. At least some mares have their heads on straight. He recalled the way Nemesis looked. To be truthful, I'm surprised she actually still has a head with her fighting sense. He shook his mane and replied to the mare, "No problem."

Devil began to causally circle her. "Me," he replied and stared her down, an unidentifiable emotion in their blue depths. "And soon, when you start to like me, yourself."

Rai swept her ears back, but didn't pin them. "Yeah," she replied tersely to his first questions. "And good. 'Cause I'm only offering because I'm uncomfortable and I really don't feel like having Kairan's half sister die." She said stubbornly, she looked over him, eyes daring him to question her logic. She broke off her gaze after a short while and began to heavily trot towards Parousia's herd. "Well, let's not stand around. You have a hungry foal waiting."
