Tartarus

Tartarus was about to tighten his grip further when he felt his mother clamp onto him. In a fit of distracted rage, he dropped down on all fours, still hanging onto Karma's neck, and struck Makkila square in the chest with a back leg. He could feel her let go and he refocused his attention onto Karma, reconstricting onto his neck.

Makkila

Makkila clamped harder onto Tartarus' tail, hoping for a reaction but wasn't prepared for the one she got. When he kicked her, the force rattled her and sent her back wheezing for air. She tried to breathe and reorient herself before deciding to reattack again.

Karma gasped quietly as Tartarus went down, dragging the older stallion with him. He felt his skin break-or maybe it already had and it just tore open even more-and a few beads of scarlet blood slid down his neck. At this point his vision was going white, passing out every so often. He knew he was going to lose, and to his own son, and it was killing him... literally. He clenched his jaw and, knowing he was probably going to die anyway, he pressed his knees against Tartaru's chest and drew his head backward at lightning speed, tearing his neck away from his opponent's teeth. The wound opened a considerable amount more, ripping a fair bit of flesh off, and he stumbled backward, dizzy and fighting to regain his footing. An almost sickening amount of blood began to spill from the injury. He simply stood there, swaying from side to side slightly, waiting for the stallion before him to finish him off. One more quick blow to the head. That was all it would take.

Tartarus

Tartarus felt flesh rip in his mouth then saw his father tear himself from his grasp. He spit the hunk of flesh out onto the ground but left the blood to drip drenched on his face. He watched his father swoon slightly and he smiled wickedly to himself. He whinnied eerily in triumph but he didn't strike. No, he was going to let his father suffer and die and his mother watch him perish.

Makkila

It was too late byt the time Makkila was ready to attack again. It all seemed to go by so quickly. First, Tartarus had Karma, now Karma was bleeding everywhere. She whinnied trying to hide her fear and went over to support Karma and be with him. She stood beside him and let him lean on her if he wished.

Karma was hardly aware of Makkila next to him. He blankly stared at the frightening amount of blood welling out of his neck as well as other wounds, running down his legs and even starting to create a shallow pool around his body. He suddenly buckled down onto his knees after what seemed like forever, too weak to support his own weight. He fell over onto his side, eyes half closed and he was fading in and out of consciousness at this point.

Makkila

Makkila layed beside Karma and decided she'd stay with him until it was all over. She looked up at her son looking smugly down at his father and she shook with anger. "You'll pay for this Tartarus. Your own blood will shed for all the ones you've killed, including your twin sister!" she screamed and pinned her ears at the thing she had bourne. "Get out of my sight, I have no use for you."

Tartarus

Tartarus smiled smugly as the stallion collapsed and he laughed at his mothers words. "Don't try me mare or you and your unborn just may join him. I've killed my sister, yes and nowmy father. Don't think for a split second I may spare you," he said tersely and he meant it.

((I really should not be listening to sad songs while I'm killing off one of my favorite characters. D:))

Karma was helplessly listening, wanting so much to get up and brutally murder his son right now, just to make sure that Makkila would be safe from that... monster. He didn't care if he died at this point, as long as she was safe, but she wasn't, with or without him. He could feel tears stinging his eyes as he lay there, and just a few moments after Tartarus finished speaking he slipped into nothingness.

(It was very sad, so touching *bawls like a baby in the rafters*
...and now it's bedtime for me, gah. Night)

Makkila

Makkila nuzzled him until she felt his body relax in death. She cried out mournfully but the cry of pain soon turned to a cry of anger. She screamed and lunged at Tartarus, stopping just before striking and glaring at him through pain-ridden eyes. "GET OUT!" she yelled and snorted at him. "Leave...now. Before I do something I won't regret."

Tartarus

Tartarus whinnied in a sadistic rhapsody. He had won and he was proud. He snorted in his mother's mane and pivoted around. "With pleasure now that I've completed what I came to do. Have a nice life now a lone, pregnant mare, mother," Tartarus sneered and cantered off into the forest and towards the border of Utasia. He'd done what he came to do and now he was going home.

((Aww, night. Makkila should run into Cosmic now, I haven't role played him in forever but I don't want to get rid of him so I really really need something to do with him and holy cow I'm going to end this run-on sentence now. But if you don't want to, you really don't have to, I can just make him trip on a log... or something.))

Asthardan & Mithardin

Mithardin | Stallion | 8 years old | No crush
Mithardin shook his head slowly, knowing that there was no way he could get his sister back to reality, from the madness she was into. He slowed back to a trot, still following her, but seeing her running out of view soon. Apparently she didn't notice that he wasn't following. He snorted, before he stopped. She would come back.
He tucked his head down and began to graze.

Asthardan was having great fun with running along the hills, feeling the wind in her manes. She kept running, still not knowing that her brother wasn't following. She ran, she ran, and closed her eyes for a few seconds, just to enjoy the breezes of wind. When she opened them again, she skidded to a halt. Right in front of her, were three horses. One lying on the ground, closed eyes, covered in blood, one right next to the (probably) dead horse, looking a bit angry, and one next to that one, and one, who seemed to be very selfish, who just ran off and disappeared in the forest.
The iron-like smell of blood made Asthardan almost vomit. She looked at the lone horse, still next to the dead one.
'What happened?'

((I thought it would be kind of pointless to bring Burn back to Zanzy since she just left, especially since she never even got to do what I had planned. :p So she'll steer clear of him... for now. ;D))

Burn had found an alcove carved in a rocky outcrop near the top of the mountain, and detecting no other horses nearby, she had decided this would be a suitable place to stay for a while, think things through. Did she want to go back to Zanzibar? Yes... of course she did. And she knew he wouldn't get mad if she came and went as she pleased to go tortue some poor, dumb animal. But being bored with her life in the herd wasn only one of the reasons she had left, and wasn't even the main one, she decided. That was just her excuse. The other reasons... she'd rather not think about due to past experiences. The moment Zanzibar had offered her to come back, she was telling herself no, yet everytime she wandered around trying to find something to do to get her mind off things, she found herself heading back toward the stallion's herd without realizing it. She had to pay more attention to where she was going. But after that episode, it had brought back so many memories, and Burn could feel herself slipping. She cursed at herself for letting those thoughts enter her mind again, and she shook her head, as if that would clear her thoughts of all those bad things. Yes, avoiding Zanzibar would solve all her problems, at least it would after a while. She'd just have to get used to livng without him.
