Cavalry horse's story:
You were once nothing more than a farm horse, trained only to pull a plow and meant only to please your master. Times were simple back then. Long, exhausting days faded to the dark of night, and every day you'd awake ready once again to meet the call of your master.
You've heard whispers of conflicts and perhaps even scattered talk of war, but you never gave it much thought. It was the humans war, not your own, and few believed it would ever come.
But as these whispers become more frantic and your master's hands grow more unsteady, you're growing anxious. You've never witnessed a war and hardly know the meaning of such a word, but the humans speak of it as an evil thing. Something akin to the wolves that slaughter your sheep or the sharp crack of a whip.
It's a word that makes even humans shake with fear.

Welcome to WWI.
War has finally been declared, as you've heard your master tell you. The war is no longer just the nervous whispers of farm hands and village people, it has begun.

And you're off to join the fight.


You remember little of how you got here. Your master brought you to the market place one day, a man looked you over, and then your master was gone. They brought you to a new place, a strange world of new people and strange scents.
You're among other horses, but all are as confused as you. Terrified and abandoned, you must now train for war.
Soon you'll be shipped off, off to fight in one of the bloodiest wars ever waged. Into a cruel land where the drum of artillery fire can always be heard, an unfamiliar world of cruelty and danger. This is the warzone!

...A world from which few can return.

Will you be able to reach the end, or will you join the thousands that have already fallen?


About this RP

Torn away from the quiet world of a farm horse, these horses will be forced into combat. The battle will be less of a physical one than mental, with everything suddenly being turned on their heads. These horses will be forced to adapt quickly or risk both their lives and the lives of their riders.

WWI was a horribly devastating war, killing millions of horses,dogs and men alike. With the introduction of tanks and machine guns, weapons armies were often disastrously ill-equipped to defend against, it was perhaps the most terrifying of wars.

Of the 160,000 cavalry horses from Australia shipped off to fight, only one ever returned home.



Calvary dog's story: The humans have been whispering about war but us dogs knew nothing untill it happened! We got caught up in their war, and we were put in the middle of it, gunshots, posion gas, we are in the most dangerous situations that test us every day. The day it started was a warm afternoon, the sounds of planes filled the silent city. The sirens sounded causing everyone to panic but us. We knew nothing of this situation until the first gunshots were fired. Everyone scattered, Some of us had been sent to war with their owners o help others like me...I stared straight into the eyes of the human with the gun, which pointed at me. The road was empty, only me and this human. I heard my heart pounding in my ears, I bolted just as the trigger was pulled, this is my story, what is yours? This is the Warzone!


Rules
•First off, keep everything PG-13. This RP is about a war and therefore will be fairly bloody, but don't overdo it, please. Keep the blood and gore to a minimum, and no force mating
•No God Modding, Power playing, etc.

•Not every horse,dog, and human can survive, you may have to kill your character off at some point.

•Soldiers are NPCs and can be played and made up by anyone, but don't kill another horse's rider without permission and don't put to amny humans

•Respect your fellow RPers, and use common sense. That's really all I ask.

There are three main purposes for the horses in the war, Cart pullers,stray hores and Calvalry Mounts.

Cart Pulling: A position reserved mostly for draft horses and those deemed unfit for battle, these horses sole purpose is to transport the wounded soldiers to the hospital. They work in teams of four and are lead by a single cart driver. The work is less dangerous as they're not used in the actual fighting, but the possibility of being caught in the cross fire is always present.

Cavalry Mounts: Horses trained with the soldiers to go into battle. They must be strong and fast and have good endurance, as well as be brave enough to fight. They must also be somewhat intelligent, though when the fight begins survival often comes down to just dumb luck.

Stray horses: Your family have been chucked otu there house and they've left you where you are,you woder the streets and cities finding more horse slike you and amke a herd but you must work together to survive the dangers whle the war is on.

Messangers:A postiot reserved moslty for the faster dogs Eg. Greyhounds,whippets,lurchers... These dogs traport mesages to the fiamiles,they cna travvel through harsh condtionts and are very smart.

Cavalry dogs: Dogs trained to go into battle with the humans,they msut be strogn and fast and ahve good endurance,as well as be brave enough to fight.They must also be somewhat intelligent, though when the fight begins survival often comes down to just dumb luck.

Stray dogs: Dogs who fmaily chucke dthem out the hosue when they moved away or you were born one of the strays,you wonder the streets joinnig forces with dogs and horse alike and msut fight to srivve.


The teams of horses and dogs are kept at camp together and are able to socialize between battles.

History:
Shadow had a very hard and horrible past,he was brought up as a wolf cub but had been turned into a horse by a witch,he was sent to a horse slaughter where they all narrowly escaped,he then was tied to a fence psot for days,peole wlakng apst him and some looknig at him,eventuallly a amn took him away,a young lad called Joe,he was very kind and took great care of him but Shadow still longed to be free and then suddenly his life was taken aay from him,he wanted to go to the forest where he belonged but they tryed shipping him but he made a huge fuss,they whiped him horrible and he has many scars on him butthey whipped him away frm the other horse,she bucked and reared and eventualyl galloped off angirly,he is now a stray horse,he has amde friends with a samll border collie wo had enarly the smae as hi past.

Personality:
Quiet and remarkably calm, she is one of the strongest, of hr short tiem pullnig ploughs.Though she hardly dislikes humans, and certainly harbors no resentment towards those who've never done her any harm, she is horrified by the cruelty of the species, with the war serving as a constant reminder of exactly what man is capable of. To pit their own kind against each other in such vile ways. She's not above fights against fellow horses, so long as they're nothing more than short scuffles over food or dominance, but feels that humans have taken things much too far.
Despite her disagreement with such a war, She accepts everything the world throws at her for the sole reason of fearing the alternative. Though the war took her away from her owner , the fear of such attacks stays with her
Even so,she is surprisingly cheerful, always having a kind word to say to the other horses and urging others on when they begin to falter,she is worried about the whole war cause she must take part in it and would rather not.
