Shiki walked towards the first wolf and heard another wolf. Two more wolves. He growled softly and backed up. Too many wolves. Ash whimpered and glanced up at Shiki nervously.

Thistle heard more wolves approaching the hollow. He jumped down from the rock he sat on and ran to stand by the she-wolf.

Kiko whimpered in fear and jerked her head around to look behind her.

You think you are the perfect parents for me. You think I have the perfect life. It's true, I have a lot of friends, I'm a cheerleader, and I'm class president. But none of it is perfect when you see the world through my eyes.I am afraid i will find something else I will have to silently endure, and I do. It hurts to see how much I have to fake to be happy. And only one thing hurts worse than that. You belive it even when I'm breaking.

He scented another male and the young wolf was instantly on the defense. This was his new pack and he would not loose it. His fur suddenly bristled and he snarled, "Show yourself."
