Colton walked back over to Bella, motioning for Flicka to follow him.

A nuzzled Colton and whinnied to Flicka.

River trotted over. Bella fed river who was starving.

After stopping to suckle, Melody reared and raced off, eager for some exercise and maybe a race.

Colton watched the two foals run off.

Bella nudged Colton gently smiling at River (( how about he is now 7 months )) she thought to herself " I think I am ready to have another foal" she wasn't sure if Colton was though.

Jinx was now almost a yearling, and getting all of the friskiness of a stallion. He annoyed his sister and companions very much, but spent most of his time with his father. Oh, how he wanted to be like him, so much. He wanted to be lead stallion of his own herd one day, but not this one. No, once he turned two or so, he would leave, either willingly or be kicked out.

Melody's feet pounded the earth as she raced around a tree. She sighed. She got bored easily now, tired of races she always won. She liked her playmates well enough, but craved something more. She could see it in her brother and in River, the spiritedness, the constant challenges between the two. She wanted to be loved, not by her mother, her father, and her brother. Possibly by River, but that was another matter completely.
