Kamie growled slightly when he licked her cheek. "We will see about that." She said, picking up the pace. She kept running and jumping. She was breathing hard and not really focused on not slipping. She finally did slip, going face foward into the spikes. she yelpe din pain and hurried and got on a rock. She had one eye closed, for it hurt pretty bad. "Ow..." She said, finally opening her eye. Nothing was wrong with her eyes, just some cuts on her side and stuff. She sat down on the rock, since it was big enough that she could. She picked up one of her paws and rubbed her cheek, since that's where it got but worse and was bleeding a bit. "I'm so clumsy." She said to herself.

Stopping himself, Flames turned around and headed back to Kamie. "Yes you really are Kamie. But you're rather competitive giving you that trait. It makes you unique but I do wish that you won't get hurt anymore from it." He said with a sigh. Flames didn't sit as the rock he stood upon was a slightly sharp rock. "When you're ready, we can continue but on your own terms now. If you get competitive again, I'm not going to be apart of it. I do need my friend to be alive and well." This didn't sound like something Flames would say but your ears didn't fool you. It was as it sounded and was meant. He treasured Kamies safety and well-being and wanted her not to get hurt anymore.

Kamie looked at him and blinked a bit, tilting her head slightly. She blushed a bit, hardly noticable but you would see it. She rolled her eyes at him. "Please! I am completely fine, i don't need you to worry about me." She said, placing her paw back on the rock. "Look like the trail of sharp rocks ends soon, so i'm gonna get all that competative i can." She said, winking a thim and chuckling. She got up and jumped form rock to rock, being more careful this time and raising her speed. She stopped when she got to the finish line, or end of the trail of rocks. She snickered. "I win!" She yelled, wagging her tail.

Flames saw Kamie's blushing but said nothing about it. With a sigh, he went on his way soon feeling the sanding dirt of the path under his paws. "Yes you do. Good job on your part. And also you can tell me not to worry all you want but that's not going to happen. That's what happens when ..." Cutting his sentence short, his ears perked up and he stared off into the brush that stood a few feet from them. A small growl erupted from his throat and progressively got louder. Hackles raising slightly, Flames walked towards Kamie and nudged her shoulder. "We need to move. Now!" He said and stood his ground till she started to move. The scent of lions filled the air and soon a loud roar of two large males broke the silence that had fallen upon the savanna.

Kamie rolled her eyes at him until she heard the roar. She pushed Flames, hard. "Come on, that way!" She said, waiting for him to go. She had to protect the Alpha of course, it was her job. She also wouldn't be able to forgive herself for letting her friend die. She saw the lions, her eyes widened when she lions spotted her.

Looking to the lions then Kamie, Flames gave her the look that said "Just go. I'll be fine" "You may be a fightress, Kamie, but it's my job to take care of my pack and everyone in it. It doesn't matter if you don't want to leave. So I'm giving you an order, leave me, go up the path without me. I will do what I can to keep the lions at bay but I need you to just listen and not be stubborn as usual. Don't come back for me for what ever reason. What ever you may hear or the time that passes. If I'm not back by sun down then you can come." Flames turned serious and he wasn't going to go even if Kamie begged or insisted on him going. He took his job to heart as he wanted to for once in his life be able to protect those that he holds close to his heart, even if it meant his demise in the process. At least he would have gone doing something for others with all his might and power instead of running away.

Kamie laughed. "Your halarious. Of course your not going to leave, but then i'm not going to leave either. I rather die then leave someone that is important to me." She said, then looked at the lions coming their way. "We might be able to win, but if not... i don't mind risking my life for yours." She said, not looking at him. She narrowed her eyes at the lions. "Show offs, think their better then everyone in the savannah." She said, glaring at them now.

With a hmf and a smirk, Flames shook his head at Kamie's desision. "You really are one stubborn Fae. But I guess I can't complain." Looking at her then looking back to the lions, he narrowed his eyes and waited for them to get closer before the attempted attack. Finally, the opportunity came and Flames took it. Getting a running start, he ran after one of the scarred lions and lunged at it. Grabbing a big chunk of it's flesh in his mouth, he dug his claws in and help on for dear life. The lion roared loud and shook his head wildly. In response, his fellow brother aided in the attack and swatted Flames hard on his side with a few claw mark left behind. Flinching, he didn't let go.

Kamie growled loudly at the lions brother which flames wa sbeing attacked by. She lunged at the other lion, grabbing hard onto his mane. She bit down on his ear, keeping all of her jaw strength onto his ear. If the lion would try to get her off, the ear would come with her. She dug her claws into the mane of the lion, which showed that he didn't like her pulling on his hair. She close dher eyes, hanging on as tight as she could.

The lion that Flames was holding onto made an unexpected move. It ran towards a tree and just before its head hit, it turned and Flames slammed into it. A loud yelp of pain erupted from him and the lion started its attack. Clawing at him and biting his body as if it was brutally killing a prey animal, the lion roared after stopping his attack. All went quiet where they were and Flames laid there, not getting up or moving. The muzzle of the lion was stained crimson with fresh blood. Was this the end? Has Flames died? No, he wouldn't go like this. Struggling to his feet but falling over like a rag doll, it gave a sigh of relief to know that he was still alive. The lion looked back to Flames thinking that he had killed him and saw the small movement of his body. Taking his paw and swiping it at him, Flames body tumbled through the grass, soon stopping at the base of another tree. The lion was sure that he was dead this time and sniffed the ground where he once laid. Licking his blood off the ground as if it were sweet red candy.
