Kamie's eyes widened on what she just say, she forced herself not to cry. She held onto the other lion, the lion threw her off, herself bringing his ear. Kamie landed on her side, hard. She whimpered, spitting out its ear. While the other lion was moaning in pain, she shot her glance to the other lion. She growled, getting to her feet. Sheran at the lion, leaping on its back and biting on the lions ear like she did with the other one. She knew that if this lion was to try and make her fall of, then its ear would come with it aswell. Sadly, her plan was lost when the other lion came back to swipe at her. Knocking her off and her letting go for her to yelp out of pain when the lion did. She slid on the ground, soon raising her head to see both lions heading towards her. She turned around, waiting for the lions to aprouch her. When they did, she kicked up her feet to have dirt flying, landing in the lions eyes and roraing in pain. She knew that it would blind them, for they were unable to get the dirt out of their eyes. She leaped on the one she had believed killed Flames. BUt being strong, she could still easily die. She was weak and could barely hang on anymore, the lion got a way to push her off and she slammed onto the ground. From the loud noise she made, the lions knew where she was without seeing. They approuched her, ready for any tricks.

While everything was going on, a blur of orange, black and white ran into on of the lions and soon fell to the ground. The force exerted from it caused the lion to fall and onto a very large and slightly sharp rock. With a roar of pain at it's cracked ribs, the lion got to its paws and bolted off. It's brother heard the sounds of paws running off from the one ear that wasn't bleeding, and ran off following it. The thing of colors before was Flames but he laid there motionless, in a small pool of his own blood. His was still alive but barely. Flames breathing was rather rapid and he didn't open his eyes to even show that he was still some what okay.

Kamie was breathing hard and she had her eyes barely open. She looked at Flames, very dizzy. "Flames?" She said, before she fell to the ground out of strength and her body hurt really bad. She opene dher eye sto a slit, but that was as far as she could go. She just watched Flames, to weak to walk over there and make sure. She did try, really hard, but she would keep failing. "I'm just not strong enough..." She whispered to herself, she could hear her heart beat pounding in her ears. She winced at some of the pain when she tried to crawl. She couldn't hear anything with all the blood rushing in her ears from working to hard. All she heard was a very loud 'beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!'. She couldn't hear her own voice, but she was glad when she could hear again. She blinked a few times, still having her eyes into only slits. She whimpered and finally closed her eyes. "Good job, Flames." She whispered, before everything went blank.

As his breathing slowed a little, Flames heard what Kamie had said but rather faintly. Not wanting to give up on life when he was still alive, he forced himself to get to his paws. After a few failed attempts, he finally gained his balance and a little blood ran out his mouth. Walking rather wobbly towards Kamie, he grabbed her by the scruff and started to drag her back to camp traveling up the path. He was pushing his body through a lot and to take her to safety knowing that this could kill him for sure. Going off the last bit of adrenaline that surged through his body and after very few pain stacking moments, Flames had reached the top and the camp ground that stood there. He kept going until they were in his den. Letting her go, he licked her on the cheek and nuzzled her. "I know you might not be able to hear me right now, but I thank you for being with me through thick and thin. You truly are a great friend and ... I - I ... lo - ..." Flames clasped on the ground before he could finish what he wanted to say. Fate could be taking over now. Every alpha whether they be great or horrible has to meet their end. This could be the very end of Flames. But maybe not. Only time will tell, maybe giving him another life to live.

Kamie woke up, very hazy. She blinked a few times and it cleared her vision. Sh elooked around to see we were in something.... a den? She looked around, then saw that Flames was next to her, bleeding! Her eyes widened and she got to her feet, stumbling a bit. She sat down and pushe dhim with her two front paws. "Hey Flames, Wake up!" She yelled, pushing him. "Why did you carry me all the way back, you should have went on your own so that you wouldn't put yourself in anymore danger!" She yelled, pushing him some more. "Stop being so weak, wake up!!" She yelled again, trying to keep from crying as best she could even though it stung her eyes not to.

Flames didn't respond to anything that Kamie had done. His chest was slightly motionless, aside from the slow and soft breathes that were entering his body. He had his second chance at life but didn't think he did. Flames could hear Kamie's words but hadn't awaken. He was unconscious but alive.

Kamie sighed and layed down, laying her head on his back/side. She could feel him slightly breathing and she smield in relief. "I suppose that you might just need some rest, not really sure what to do about the wounds..." She said to him, not knowing if he was listening or not. She raised her head and started licking his wounds and fur of blood. When she was finished, she laye dher head back on his back/side. She sighed once again. "Just wake up already..." She whispered, closing her eyes.... just waiting.

After some time of resting, Flames finally awoke. Not stirring much but slightly, he lifted his head ever so slowly and looked at Kamie. "I heard every word you said. The reason I stayed to take you back was because, I couldn't nor would I ever leave someone, especially as important to me as you are, behind to possibly die. There was always the possibility that those lions would be back." He said and started to cough up a little blood.
