Secret took a single step forward, spurred on by the fact that she didn't seem afraid enough to talk to him. He dipped his head slightly, a single bob up and down, before returning his brown gaze to hers, his nostrils flaring as he scented the air once again. "Secret," he answered, his voice low. His head turned as be glanced around, his tail continuing to flick absentmindedly.
Rain stopped suddenly, surrounded by trees, when she caught the scent of numerous horses. Her muscles quivered beneath her bay coat, her nostrils flaring as she breathed quickly. Anxiety coiled her stomach, almost making her nauseous. The idea of finding another herd frightened, yet excited her. It would give herd the chance to start over, but it might also mean enduring judgemental glances and rumors as well. It wasn't like she was a strange mare, she was just quiet and reserved, unlike most. Sighing, the bay mare continued forward, grinding her teeth together as she became lost in her thoughts.
