Mortimer

Mortimer laughed a bit as Rose played with him. When he heard her question though, his lightweight, bouncy self grew a bit sombre as he ran. "The pack I was born into was abolished during a bad winter. I was just a pup when my parents died. My sister and I are the only ones who survived."

Rose imediatley felt so horrid for asking him that question. "Mortimer I am so very sorry. I shouldn't of asked anything. My apologies." She said apologetically, holding her head low as she walked throughout the forest. The fae kept her gaze to the ground, not looking up once.

Mortimer

Upon hearing her apology, he felt terrible for reacting the way he did. He wanted to comfort her but he didn't know how. He couldn't even really complain, he was just a pup whe it happened. His sister Abigail was a year and remembered everything, the main reason she was so reserved and cold, even to him. "Hey, it's ok, you didn't know. Plus, my cheery demeanor hides that pretty well. It's fine, don't worry about that. It's better you asked me and not my sister. She's a bit more sensitive about it."

"I shouldn't of asked anyone in the first place. I truley am sorry Mortimer. I really am." Rose said, not lifting her head nor looking at him, only responding to his words. She felt terrible, and knew how she would've reacted if someone asked her. When thinking about that, the fae even more worse that she had asked.

Mortimer

Mortimer sighed a bit, not knowing how to take away the fae's guilt. "Seriously, it's fine. If I was that busted up about it, I wouldn't be here. I'd be back a bit ripping the hide off some poor creature for dinner. I promise. I'm fine."

||Rose||
Rose didn't reply. She just pointed her head to the side of him where a rabbit was hopping along a bit away. Apparently it hadn't noticed them here. The fae watched it, then glanced up at Mortimer as if to say 'Are you gonna get it?'.

Mortimer

Mortimer looked up in surprise and looked over at the rabbit. It looked up at him and froze. He waved a paw at it so it could run away. "Nah, we can't feed the herd on him. He'll make a god snack for someone later. Let's keep looking."

Rose looked to one side as they walked, taking no other glances towards Mortimer. This time she kept focused, not talking unless talked to. Her icey blue eyes searched through the forest for any sign of movement from a big creature besides other wolves.

Mortimer

Mortimer stayed quiet as well, hoping that little discussion before wasn't causing tension. He looked around until his eyes locked onto a doe and he wagged his tail a bit in a signal.

Rose flicked her ears when hearing a slight sound, and looked towards Mortimer, then followed his gaze to see a doe. The fae remembered how they had hunted last time and turned the other direction so she was stalking towards one side of the deer.
