The rusty old red pick-up truck came to a rattling halt outside the girls 1st house. Melody pulled up the hand brake and gently took the key out the slot. She slouched back on the car seat and sighed happily as she admired the green fields. Glad to be back from her two week vacation to Alaska to see her parents. She scanned the pasture in front of her, she couldn't see any horses, either they weren't out or they where on the other side of the pasture.

Rocky sat in the back of the truck next to a whole load of rubbish Melody brought from her parents house. He barked in annoyance, being in the back of a pick-up truck for 3 hours wasn't really pleasant. He waited in the back for Melody.

Wild Fire snorted impatiently, he hasn't seen Melody for two weeks and has had a bit of a grudge. It wasn't the same without the human he loved and trusted the most. He poked his head out of his stall and looked down the stalls to the door waiting for Melody to come. He snorted in boredom, flicking his tail behind him rhythmically.

Blake walked up to the truck he was a short boy with black short curly hair and wore black cowboy close and had deep blue sapphire eyes and a cowgirl hat on. he walked up to the window of the truck. "Need any help?"

[woofers.]

Melody snapped back into reality, she jumped a little when the boy asked if she needed any help. She turned to him and shook her head "I'll be fine" She said "But thanks anyway" She quickly added with a small smile before getting out. She slammed the door shut behind her and walked round to the back of the truck. She smiled at Rocky "Hey boy" She said in a high voice as he stroked his head. She quickly grabbed her bags before whistling for Rocky to come out.

Rocky put on a doggy smile at Melody, completely ignoring the stranger. He swiftly jumped out of the pick up truck, landing gracefully on the ground with all fours. Rocky wagged his tail happily, it was good to be back. Besides, living at Melody's parents house for 2 weeks was torture. He had to live with 3 snobby cats and one Pitbull that was WAY over protective of his chew toys.
