Mika opened one eye, then the other. She gasped, looking at everything Jake had done. It looked so beautiful, with the fire, and the glow worms... And her name in the flax. She read the whole message, with a small tear running down her cheek. "Jake.. It's beautiful.." she whispered. "I.. I Iove you too."

Paisley closed her eyes, not knowing what to say or do. Her desicion needed to be made, but she loved them both.. And they both loved her too.

Laylani watched the lion dissapear. She stood up, then walked to her den.

Ace looked at Paisley worried. He licked her cheek, and twined his tail. "I love you Paisley." He whispered in the other direction, hoping the wind would catch it and blow it to her. He sat down, untwining his tail.

Paisley sat down. "Ace.." she whispered, sighing. "How am I supposed to decide?" she looked at him with sad eyes. "I love you, and I love Kimba. You love me.. And so does Kimba. I'm lost.. And I need someone to guide me through.. Love."

Ace sat down and put a paw on hers. "Paisley, I just, well...who did you love first? Maybe you could talk to Lana...but, I just want you to know that you are the world to me, and I loved you first...always." He licked her cheek. "This feeling is painful, but if Kimba found another then he may find one again. He was able to drop Lana and maybe he will be able to get over you too, but, I wont. So many times, lions get hurt by this feeling, but I have no answers, I have never felt like this, truly. Babbie, Dream, Storm, and Erika...just to name a few, they played me...like a piano." He sighed thinking about his past in the lab. "We have a history. Granted, not a long one, but a strong one. And, we have things in common, a cub to look after a trampeled past..." he trailed off. Wrapping his arms on her he sighed.

Paisley didn't answer. She was too hurt, too lost. She let his warmth and her tears put her to sleep.

Ace lay down Paisley and rest his head on her. A redend eye let out a silvered tear. He sighed purring and trying to lull her to sleep. "Rejection, it's feeding what I am, the tongue that's bitten through. The thoughts of me and you, it's like salt, poured into a deep infected wound." He sung to himself, lightly and outloud at the same time. Ace nuzzeled her side in hopes of comforting her. He smiled and then frowned a little, sad frown. And the soft breath of Paisley lulled him to sleep as well.

Paisley woke up to the sound of birds chirping. She didn't get up, as she didn't want to disturb Ace.

Ace opened his eyes and smiled. A soft smile was warm on his lips, he looked at Paisley with great hope. "Good morning my...my...Paisley...!" He said happily, he had never thought of a nickname. He sighed and sit up with a yawn, licking her cheek he picked up the same rose and placed it in front of her.

Kimba woke, sunlight streaming into his den. He yawned stood up, leaving the familiar stone walls of his cave.

Femi looked up in surprise and nodded nonchalantly to the loin. "Yes, I'm fine." she said coolly.

Paisley smiled softly. She picked up the flower, and she puti it behind her ear. "Good morning." she looked outside, hoping to see her Silver.
