Zinya shuffled about in her sleep, before slowly opening her eyes. The sunlight blared in, and she quickly turned away. She stood up and yawned. 'Looks like I didn't make it back to my cave...' she thought, looking at her surroundings. She had slept at the foot of a mountain, behind a forest, and was lucky that no other tigers had seen her. She shook some snow from her right flank, and set off for her cave.
She prowled slowly round to the next mountain, and jumped onto a slightly frosty ledge which led into a well-concealed den. She went further in, looking to see if she had an old carcus left for an easy breakfast, but no. She growled a little to herself, before jumping down, and stalking into the forests, scenting the air.

Despite her hind leg stinging from where the other tigeress had bitten on her earlier, Tip broke out into a sprint. She'd just been sneaking up on a young buck who'd sustained some sort of recent injury to his flank and thus she figured he'd make an easy meal. Once she had been less than fifteen feet from where it grazed, that's when she launched herself.
The buck erupted from the grass immediately and fled with his life at stake, sending the rest of the deer scattering in alarm. After several moments of chasing, Tip felt her energy start to deplete. Tigers weren't built for running long distances; only for short bursts. The fact that she was still very weak from not eating didn't help, either and soon she was forced to slow down.
Helplessly she stood, watching the wounded buck canter away with several of his herd-mates. Obviously today just wasn't her day. She knew now the deer would probably be alert for the rest of the day, in case of another attack so trying to hunt them wasn't an option. She had three options - go back to the jungle and hope to find a carcass, or travel to the Alps and risk hunting in the icy slopes or she could travel to the beaches and see if there are any seals on the rocks or fish carrion washed up on the sands.
Since the beach was closest, she decided it was best to try there first.

Zinya found a small clearing near the edge of the jungle. She sniffed around, and saw some ears pricking up over the top of the grass. 'A hare.' she thought to herself. She hugged the ground, breathing quietly and then pounced.
As her legs left the ground, one of her back legs slipped. She fell sideways, but scrambled up and stumbled after the hare. She chased it a while, but suddenly it disappeared down a burrow. Zinya skidded to a halt, and curled her upper lip angrily. She flicked her tail, and wandered away, looking for some more prey.

Tip was feeling rather annoyed with herself at this point.
She was returning from a scouting trip on the beach. While there, she'd hoped for some seals to be lazing on the rocks - there had been but the only way she could get to them was by either swimming in the deep, choppy waters of the sea or by scrambling over the sea-weed covered rock-pools. There wasn't even any fish carrion washed up onshore so now she returned to her jungle territory with a deep hunger urging her. She considered the possibility of heading towards the Alps on the other side of the grasslands and jungle. There might be something there that had died of starvation or from the cold...
''It's worth a try...'' She murmured, flinching slightly. The bite wound on her leg was starting to sting again.

Zinya stalked back to her den happily. Despite her hunting failure earlier, she had managed to find herself a large deer who seemed to have had some kind of previous injury. She had brought it down with ease. Slowly, she dragged it behind her. She couldn't wait to get back to her den and devour it.
