Orane lifted his eyes to survay the silent woods. His gaze slowly challanged each bush and each tree to dare hide something from him. Finally satisfied he moved forward in a silent deadly gait, and trailing along jut behind his back paws were two tired pups. Both dragged their paws, their heads hanging low, and their excited voices silenced. The smaller of the two, a little black female, suddenly stopped walking and lay down with a slight whimper. Seeing his sister fold into the snow Kay sat down in the snow panting gently, breath forming into mist before disapating into the cold air. The sound seemed to rouse Orane from a trance and the old wolf turned and walked back to stand by his two remaining pups. In a deep rembeling voice he said as gently as possible "come Sungi, Kay we shall stop soon." The two pups looked up at their father with big tired eyes, Orane sighed and looking around he spotted a fallen log. Picking up Sungi he gently nudged Kay to his feet and guided them under the log. Glancing around to make sure that no one was around he lowered his head and said "stay here I will be back soon." With that he whipped around and took off through the snow searching for a sutible den for the night.

His gaze turned a bit relaxed, as he looked around the camp. He turned to Shy once again and replied, "Seems everyone already went hunting." His voice was a bit rough, as he had been looking forward to such a group thing. But as Shy had just stated, not many wolves her enjoy group things. This thought of solitary turned his gaze to Electra. He then looked to all the other wolves. Most looked healthy, while some looked starved. He looked back to Shy with a faint smile. "I guess we might not have the hunt then." {WB}

She flicked her tail this way and that; then rose to all four of her gray paws. Her thoughts her empty as there wasn't much to thin about. She had already moved on from the argument, but refused to go hunting with him, Distance. She figured this all seemed so immature, but it happens to all be very serious. She had completely, and obliviously disrespected the alpha. She should be gone right now, exiled, banned. But no, Distance had the kindness in his heart to be the better person. This irked her as she was such a competative little fae. Her ultramarine gaze traveled arond the pack until she noticed a brute looking at her. She observed his grinning face, and then approached. "What?" She asked in a demanding, yet quiet, calm voice.

Orane stopped as he heard a wolf pack call for it's members for a hunt. Hestiation stole over him as he wondered whether he should just go back and stay with his pups, bit he shook his head. No, I need to find us shelter for the night. He thought detemindly to himself. It was hard going in the snow, it hide many things, making it hard to find any sort of shelter. His dark eyes scanned the snow, as his ear's listened for any danger.

Kay looked out from under the log. He had heard a howl very close by and it was peeking his interest. Sungi gently tugged on her brother's tail and said "Dad said we should stay here." Kay turned to look at his sister with a mischievous look in his eye. Turning to look back out he said "don't worry I won't go far. I will be back before Dad know's I'm gone." With that he crawled out from under the log and headed towards the pack's den site.

A movement. Then a flash of dark fur. The image flickered before fainting, and light came once again into the eyes of the strange wolf. His crimson-amber eyes flashed in the shades darkness, which were full of pure determination and boldness. Ear flicking, the dark male raised his head, claws scraping the rough stone of the cool, dark den. Narrowed amber eyes glinted in the darkness, and he lowered his head once again. It had felt less than a minute before he opened his eyes again to see light flicker through the gap in the wall big enough for a large body of a wolf or a dog to fit through. This time the male wolf got to his large paws, his dark fur ruffled at his movements during the night. He shook it out slowly, taking his time before padding over to the crack, sifting through and erupting out into the forest. The branched of the trees covered shadows over the ground, and the dim, faint dawn light barely lit up the path before him. His large musclar build rippled beneath his thick fur, and his paw steps were steady and slow. His muzzle was now raised in the air, and when he lowered it, you could see the dark hunger in his eyes. He lowered his body for a moment, ducking beneath some bushes to see a herd. A herd of caribou.

There was hundreds of them, from young to old, and from side to side. Their long necks were bowed down, their muzzles pressed to the grass as they grazed. The munched hungrily at their food, the sounds echoing throughout the brute's ears. But this did not bother the wolf, this hungered him even more. He pricked his ears, lowering his body. Even if he did run out and alert the caribou, at least one of them wouldn't have time to run from the agile and hungry wolf. His claws scraped the earth beneath his paws, and he took a step forward...1, 2, 3...leap. He plunged out froom the cover of the bushes, and as soon as he landed, making twigs crack and the leaves of the bushes rustle, the herd immediately snapped their heads up. But the male didn't waste any time. He lunged, his teeth missing the leg of a young caribou by a pawlength as it ran for cover. He let out a howl of frustration, but pricked his ears and saw a young female, standing, not knowing what to do. He growled and leaped forward, landing on the back of it and sinking his sharp teeth deep into the neck of it. It let out one sharp squeal, then fell dead beneath him. "Ha, Dakota succeeds again," he growled.

Kay looked up as a the sound of pounding came to his ears. His eyes widend and he slowly crouched to the ground as he saw a wave of caribou running towards him. Panic stricken the little wolf closed his eyes and pulled himself into the smallest ball possible. As the seemingly endless stream of panic caribou raced over him he started to cry out everytime he felt a hoof land close to his form. When the caribou passed he was still curled up in a tight little ball, whimpering and crying, his call was strangely loud filling up the space where to sound of pounding hooves had been before.

"Ah, it does seem that way, doesn't it?" The fae agreed to Distance's comment on how many wolves had already gone hunting. Her voice let on no hint whatsoever to show if she had been one of the wolves who had already been hunting. The ebony fae chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Alpha, you know that I can't be too sad about that." She gave a shrug. "Sorry, it's just the way some prefer it, including me. I'm sure I'm not the only wolf here who's been on their own before. I got used to the life of a loner, it's hard to return to pack mechanism, even after so long." She told her alpha. Though, SHy did not add, she wasn't exactly sure how pack wolves should act. Her pack had been a pack of monsterous creatures, far from normal wolves.
