Snow lay in her and Storm's den, feeling lazy and good-for-nothing. " Why did I have to go and get pregnant? " She thought to herself. She feared for these pups. The harsh Winter cold was not forgiving, and took the lives of four of her pups last year. Winter was the only survivor, but she was glad to have her by her side. She felt the kick of a pup, and another one wiggle around, apparently annoyed with it's sibling's antics. " Just a few more days and you'll be free, little ones. " Sne whispered quietly to her unborn babies.

Winter lay outside with Koda and Kiba, trying to enjoy the remaining sunlight trickling through the pale grey clouds.

Dracul: he walked to a secluded hill top ad let the breeze whirl the snow around him. he breathed in the crisp morning air and sighed. he looked up at the cloudy sky and thought about his past. he held back the sadness that was threating to spill out in the form of tears. he did not show weakness....couldn show weakness.

Bella: she ran back to her den. it was freezing! she had gone out early to practice her hunting, but then it had started snowing. she had the whole walk back to camp, and was now really cold. she curled up in her nice warm den contenty, hoping for a few Zs.

Akuma no Chi

He walked through the snow, keeping his pace at a stedy trot. He had been smelling wolves for days but didn't know how close they were. He stoped for a second and lifted his head and howled. The sound was slightly sad, but the question and message was clear. "Is anyone out there?!" He listened for a awnser, but he thought it was useless, he had been howling for days, with no reply.

Storm padded up behind Dracul and stood next to him, looking over their territory with pride in his eyes. A strong gust of crisp wind ruffled his night-black fur. He then turned to him " Winter's finally setting in. Seems it'll be colder this year. Hopefully the prey won't be too sparce, but there's no garentee. " He sighed, remembering the pain he still bore of losing his pups. He hoped the same fate wouldn't come to this litter.

Kiba let out a long yawn and stretched. It was getting too cold to stay outside...

Amara stood in the camp clearing. Winter was here and she knew it. She glanced fretfully back at the alphas' den. She had silently feared for Snow's unborn pups the moment she found out. But she knew that she couldn't let this litter die. She would make sure they grew into fine young pups. Perhaps she could form a hunting party to get some of the straggling elk.

Winter's ears pricked. " Was that a howl I just heard? " She thought. She got up quickly, but before leaving, she told Kiba and Koda she'd be back soon. She ran into the woods, keeping her ears alert in case she heard the sad howl again. " There it was! " She thought excitedly. She ran on, as fast as her legs would take her, towards the sound. Once close enough, she answered the call. She raised her muzzle and howled " I am here. Why are you here? "

Dracul: didnt say much, but trusted Storm more than he did the othrs. he nodded. "Yah, if all the prey leaves lord knows what we'll do...." he said with a slight tone of worry to his voice. but then he shook it off and continued to stare at the clouds

Amara watched Winter run off suddenly with a puzzled expression. What was she up to? She decided to leave her alone and talk to Koda about hunting. She padded to where he was laying in the fresh snow. "Hey Koda! Wanna go hunting?"

Akuma no Chi

His eyes were drooping, the cold, and his lack of food, was putting him to sleep, he knew if he slept he would never agein wake up. The his ears pricked and he heard the new howl, relif flooded him, and he lifted his head to howl an awnser. "I will come to you, I am here becuse I have no where else to go." He howled, the sadness hadn't totally left his voice, but he had more hope in it now. He ran to the other howl, his black fur a blur ageinst the white landscape, as he spotted another white wolf in the distance.

Koda picked up on Amara's worried glances towards their Alpha's den. " Is she as worried as I am about these pups? " He thought to himself. " Maybe we should go hunting... I'll ask Kiba, Amara, and Winter, once she gets back. We may be able to catch something... " Just then she called out to him, and he answered " Sure! I was just thinking the same thing. "

Storm took one last look at the territory, and turned to walk away. " I'll be heading back to the pack, need to check on Snow to make sure she's ok. You come back whenever you want, I'll be setting up a hunting group sometime tonight. If you'd like to join me and the others, be back at twilight. " He padded away, into the thick surrounding pines.

Winter saw a black wolf running towards her. He looked thin and tired, and she knew he needed a pack to belong to. Somewhere he could be fed, and feed others. A place where he'd be protected, and protecting his pack at the same time. She ran towards him, releiving him of some of the distance he'd have to trek to meet with her.
