[The Lost Gremlin]

.: For generations now, a pack of wild dogs have roamed the land within the Yorkshire Dales, England. Some have been born and raised here in these hillsides, just have all their family for up to ten generations. Others are just dogs who have wandered here from the local villages and farms and have no further blood connections with the rest.
Despite this, all the dogs have their part. The Seekers scout, the Fetchers hunt and Sentries guard.

Now, humans - Farmers, especially - are seeing these dogs as pests. Times have become harsh for the Dale Dogs. They have resorted to worrying sheep to steal the lambs and attacking ducks and chickens right from under the human's noses. Even domestic rabbits and guinea pigs have be targetted from the village outskirts.

Humans are coming, armed with guns, baits and traps. The pack have moved further, deeper into the dales to avoid these killers and for now, they are safe. But the humans will keep on coming if they see they must. But the dogs must feed, survive and thrive...
Their skies are turning red, and as the moon rises once again, it brings nightmares with it... :.

1. All of Tess' rules apply. This includes no force-mating, no god-modding and no Gary/Mary-sues
2. No killing another character without permission.
3. No fighting/being rude in OOC (Out Of Character)
4. Always use brackets when speaking out of character
5. Keep things on the more realistic side. If a dog gets shot by a human, there's more than likely to be a 50 - 90% chance they won't survive, depending on where they were hit. There aren't no humans to care for any injured pack members, but if a character does die, feel free to create another.
6. If you're not prepared to be active (i.e. post at least once or twice a day), then you'll be deleted without warning. All inactive members will be deleted after 3 days. If you want to rejoin, that's fine but if you have to rejoin more than twice, you'll be banned.
7. No strong details for birthing/mating - fades to black or very discrete rping is all that I will allow.
8. This is a somewhat literate rp. You must post at least 4 descriptive sentences per post, per character (Speech does not go towards a sentence.) and no less. If you have Writer's Block, then mention it please!
9. Do NOT steal my idea. If you want to create an rp with similar ideas, please contact me first!
10. Drama, Romance, Heartbreak and all else is strongly encouraged!

1. Always follow your rank and complete your assigned jobs loyally
2. Males must always put their mate and puppies first.
3. Those who betray the pack will be sent into Excile for a fixed amount of time. An Exciled dog is forbidden to enter the pack's camp for the time it is being punished.
4. Only hunt in the human's territory if prey is scarce and you have company of either another dog of the same or similar rank or if you have the Alpha's expressed permission.
5. Listen to those of higher ranks and follow their orders.
6. Attack all Intruders; including Outsider Dogs and potentially dangerous Humans.

The Dale Dog Pack
A pack who have roamed the Yorkshire Dales for over twenty years. Unlike wolf packs and most stray dog packs, each dog has a rank assigned to them, usually depending on their special abilities and traits. If a particular dog fails to perform their job they may be given something else to do. Each rank has it's own special role.

Meanings of the ranks

Alpha Male: The male leader of the pack.
Alpha Female: The female leader of the pack
Alpha Puppies: Pups of the Alphas

Beta: Second in command - there is only one in the pack

Lead Seeker: The dog in charge of all the Seekers. Generally they are the fastest most agile dog.
Seekers: These dogs are incharge of gathering information on a variety of subjects that will benefit the pack. This includes prey numbers, updates regarding the humans and keeping an eye on Outsiders.

Lead Hunter: The dog in charge of all the hunters. Generally they are a dog who is capable of doing any kind of hunting task.
Fetchers: These dogs chase land-based prey such as deer, rabbits and hares. They are fast and strong and hunt much like a wolf pack.
Earthers: Smaller dogs who can fit into tight places. Their job is to flush out prey and hunt in badger and rabbit burrows.
Diver: Dogs who are particularly strong swimmers. Their job is based on retrieving prey like fish or water-fowl.

Lead Sentry: The dog in charge of all the sentries. Generally they are a dog who has keen eyesight and is a valid fighter.
Sentries: These dogs act as the pack's guards. They alert the Warriors if danger is at hand. They also help to fight as back-ups.

Lead Warrior: The dog in charge of all the warriors. Generally they are physically the strongest dog in the pack and are often very big and tactical.
Warriors: These dogs fight off enemies like humans and Outsiders. They fight using tactics and putting their abilities to the test.

Pup-Sitters: A female only rank. They are incharge of guarding the pack's offspring and are always guarded by a couple of Sentries or Warriors.
Pups: The pack's offspring. They are considered 'grown-up' at the age of 1yr and that is when they are assigned their first rank.

Semi-Exciles: The pack's punished dogs. They are kept like this until they show their loyalties again.

Exciles: Dogs who have been permantly exciled from the pack for a number of reasons. They may or may not be dangerous.
Rogues: Usually very dangerous to the pack. Often they may come after pups in order to kill them, or males may try to find a female to mate with.
Loners: Usually friendly and no threat to the pack. They are welcome to join the pack - provided they do not threaten anyone.

Personality: Tip is a somewhat cynical character, though she is often quite kind. She can be a bit harsh at times, but she'll do whatever she needs to in order to ensure the safety of her pack-mates. She is loyal to her friends but she is difficult to befriend as one due to the fact that she often carries high suspicisons of strange dogs. She'll fight without a problem if she must and follows orders usually without hesitation. She despises cowards and traitors, however she would rather see them within the pack's safety then on the other end of a farmer's gun. She won't let other dogs push her around, especially arrogant morons.
History: Tip and her older brother, Lee, were born into the pack. Their mother had been a wandering stray dog from the village who was whisked away by the pack's previous Alpha Male - and their father. More females had been needed in the pack purely for mating purposes and to increase the pack's numbers, so the reason for their mother's abduction. Tip and Lee were born to the pair but the jealous Alpha Female of the pack (The Aunt of Lee and Tip) killed their mother. Another female who'd recently lost her own pups took the siblings in and raised them on her own without the Alpha Male's help. The pup's Aunt was sent away because of the murder and was soon shot by farmers after she hunted down a lamb.
Once the pups became yearlings, the Alpha Male announced that while Lee was to be his successor, Tip would be a regular ranking female. When they reached their second birthday, the Alpha Male passed away leaving the young dogs to their futures with the rest of the pack.

If your hanging on a cliff by your paw, and your abou to get shot or something, well your going to die, she won't save you. She is sarcastic, very sarcastic, she likes to brag about her strength and good looks. I would say she is threatening, very threatening, she won't back down from a fight. She will not give up, once you fight, she will not stop until she knows she won. I would say she is evil, she likes to be alone, but then she likes getting into fights, she would be a perfect fighting dog, and you know it. Her and her brother are nothing alike, he wants a mate and pups, while she would rather die then have a mate and pups. Pups are just annoying to her, while a mate would just get killed if she had one. It would be the end of the world for her if she lost a fight, and if she ever fell in love. She thinks brutes and other animals are just a waste in space, but it is hard to explain.........[WIP]

Personality: Lone is a calm female. She isn't one to lose her patience or freak out easily. She is highly intelligent and is a strong swimmer. Don't get fooled by her calm nature, as she is a fighter and a leader too. Lone can be somewhat harsh and cold to those she doesn't trust. Her fur seems to crackle with electricity when she is mad, and she will likely storm off, if angered or mad. Lone can also be obnoxious and proud at times. She is a loyal friend, and would die for her packmates.
History: Lone was born to Aztec and Mia, two stray huskies, along with her brother, Kona. They were taken away from their parents at a young age, and have learned to survive on their own. Now full-grown they decided to join a pack, and be a part of something. The siblings just wanted to belong, for once in their lives.
