Heroine glared out at all of the other wolves, her chest puffed out. She had done it. Finally, she was the Alpha, and no one was going to drag her down. All of those seasons of trying to prove herself. For a brief moment, she felt a tinge of pride. She, Heroine, daughter of Striker and Calliope, was finally the Alpha of a pack. She bet that her father and mother would have never guessed that she would ever get to reach this moment. But, nonetheless, she didn't doubt that this moment would last for long. There was always a chance that one of the pesky Betas would attempt to seize her rank, challenging her to a fight. Well, she was going to be ready. The black she-wolf's pale yellow eyes narrowed, and she folded back her lip into an intimidating scowl. If any wolf tried to challenge her and lost, they would be thrown out of the pack. No one deserved to have this title but her. Her. She was going to win this thing fair and square - she deserved it. She had tried so long to beat the Alpha, and finally she had done it. She would win. She would win. Eventually, this saying became something of a mantra, repeated over and over again in her head. I will prevail. I will prevail. For a brief moment, Heroine's eyes trailed over the wolves in her pack with disdain. She needed to make this pack smaller. She wasn't a fan of big families - she was an antisocial wolf, and she would get what she wanted. Besides, she was the Alpha! Heroine was all set to feel proud about herself again, before she halted. Wait, she shouldn't get too cocky. Unfortunately, that was awfully hard, as she felt so overwhelmed. She didn't want to feel too upset if she lost her title. Coughing slightly, the she-wolf sat in front of her den, hawk-like eyes staring all around. Perhaps now would be a good time to send out hunting patrols.
