Star washed herself in a river. She tried to get all of the sweat and mud off of her dark brown, velvety coat. Stargazer wished to have a herd.

River flattened her ears, and she snorted. She zipped into the middle of the herd, and started to graze.

Rose continued trotting down the path. It appeared to never end and they just continued getting further from the herd. Rain flicked her ears around staying alert. "Rose what's that noise?..." She whinnied confused. Rose shrugged a little and slowed to a walk to listen better. Rain stopped and made Rose stop. "I wanna go back." Rain shook her head. "We've already gotten this far!" Rain sighed again. "Okay.. But we have to be back before it gets dark." Rose nodded and walked again. After a few more minutes of walking they saw something very unusual coming towards them. Both being dangerously curious cantered up toward it. It was a small old truck and the driver just drive on by, ignoring the horses. Rose snorted and turned following the car. "Well that was rude...." Rain shook her head. "No Rose! It's not a horse. I don't know what it is but it it bigger than both of us and dad! We have to go.." Rain ignore er half sister and chased the car, now canter up next to it. The drive laughed at the young horse and continued driving. After a while the driver drive up onto a paved black top road. And Rose continued following, raging with curiosity. Rain shook her head at the black top and galloped back to Brown Hawk leaving Rose. "No way am I following her any more. I'll take a punishment over death.."

River tried to cover up the heat-scent that was coming off of her rump.

Brown Hawk paws the ground a little and pushes River's neck with his nose.
Rain galloped back and slid to a stop near the rest of the pack, trotting though to Brown Hawk. "Rose has followed the rock path to a black path! I wanted to follow her but I figures any punishment from you was better than dying. and she wouldn't listen to me!!"

River stepped back, and she nipped his cheek. She listened to Rain, her ears back.

The driver drove all the way out to where he lived. He seriously though the horse would have stopped following by now, but Rose was still there.. And standing right in the way of his door. Rose sniffed the bed of the truck with her back end at the front. The drive got out on the opposite side then walked around to the bed where Rose continued sniffing. When Rose noticed the man she lifted her head quickly and stepped back. "Who are you and what happened to yourself!" She whinnied scared half to death by the strange figure on the other side if the truck. She looked around quickly to ask Rain what the thing was but did not see her sister. "Take me home! I could squish you!"

Brown Hawk stepped back and looked at Rain. "Okay.. Stay here and I will go and find her. Where is this rock path?" He demanded. Rain quickly told him exactly where it was and where she last saw Rose. "Thank you." Brown Hawk said then left, leaving his lead mare once again in charge.
