Sunny
Sunny's eyes burned with rage as he watched the fox take Devri, but knew attacking would only make it worse. "Don't you dare hurt her..." he hissed, his eyes helplessly locking with hers as she tried to reassure them. His sweet Devri, trying to keep them from being scared while she was in so much pain. It's teeth were only inches away... he swallowed again, looking around shakily as one of the vixens began circling. There was nothing he could do but play along. "Y-Yes, uhm ma'am. We're going right now." he stuttered, the last of the sentence coming quick and harsh. He started hurriedly toward the direction Frost had returned from, hoping fiercly that nobody else mentioned where they were going. The only thing that kept those foxes from killing was that he was the only one to their knowledge with coordinance. "C'mon guys, we need to get their before dark." he stated sadly, knowing they would vanish into the deadly night forever if their sight was lost.
Aster
Aster shrieked as the fox suddenly returned, her breath cut off once more as it took her by the neck. She went limp, gasping as her legs and waist suddenly plunged back into snow. It had lept from the tree effortlessly, not even breaking a nail. Her eyes watering slowly as she felt the drool seep into her feathers, her dry, terrified beak fell open. Was this it? Was her life about to end? All alone in the cold, torn apart by seemingly hundreds of shining teeth... what had she done, what had they all done to deserve this? Just as her mind began to withdraw into a safer place, like back to the pond on that warm fall day, she saw her flock come into view. Still surrounded by foxes, but intact none the less. She gave a brief honk and struggled a bit just before it dropped her, her legs involentarily taking her to Maca's side. "Maca?! Maca! Are you okay?" she cryed, seeing the blood on his head. Then her eyes lept to Devri, a startled keen tearing from her throat as she took in the terrible scene. "Devri!" she choked, collapsing in the snow from the trauma.
