Miranda

"That looks so cool!! I'd like to try!!" Miranda,Waddled over to the water dish, and dstarted playing with some of it with her beak, blowing tiny bubbles for fun. "I wonder how your able to stay in the air!! It looks so..Interesting!" Miranda followed the others up onto of the food dish, and made a Gigantic leap when it was her turn. Miranda Fluttered in the air for around 3-4 seconds, before landing in a Pile of chips next to owl. "That was so fun!!" Miranda peeped as she started flutttering her wings in excitment.

((And I agree with both of you, lol. The timeskip shall go into play now!))

***~~TIME SKIP~~***
((The gosling's are now weanlings, which are about half as big as a full grown goose, and are getting in their wing and tail feathers rapidly now. Their down is course in texture, and they're kind of gooney and ungainly due to their longer necks and legs. They have taken on a more gaunt appearance, and are mentally about 13(that means they can have crushes now!). All gosling's that can actually take flight as adults (Devri, Owl, America) are still unable to become air born (Note that Aster, Sunny, Miranda, Mask, and Mercy can fly, just not like the wild species. The best they can do is glide for a few seconds.). Okay, that's it for the weanling intro, now for the plot. [Also, check the first post for pics of where they are.]))

((Okay, they have been moved to the weanling coop due to growth, and are being released onto the yard with Mask. The coop was made especially for the goslings, so they haven't met him yet. He lives outside. I altered the plot slightly, so we aren't exactly on a farm, but a really pretty place off in the woods. I figured that would give us more freedom to do different things. Okay, back to the RP!))

Aster

Aster blinked as she struggled to see. They had all been moved to a strange building with no windows a while ago, and she was growing anctious. When was it going to stop? When where they going to be free? She had seen all kinds of things, marvelous things that she wished she understood, when they had been moved. But they where sealed away from it, sealed away into the darkness. She heard foot steps coming toward them from outside. She stumbled backwards as she crained her long neck toward the sound. The creatures where communicating back and forth to each other interestedly, as if discussing something. She could here the little one bounding along behind them. Fiestly thing. She had grown unafraid of them now, since they obviously meant no ill will toward her or the others. She sort of felt bad for having attacked them as a gosling. They opened the door in front of her, blinding her with the brilliant light of the unknown. It shined down on her spongy fluff, causing the few feathers protruding from her wings and tail to glissen. She cleaned them all the time, wondering if she would ever meet somebody who could tell her what they were. Usually, the creatures just refilled the crumbles and clear stuff and simply locked them back up, but this time was different. They left the entrance standing wide open. The creatures seemed to be urging her, urging her to come out into the unknown with them. This excited her, but at the same time scared her senseless. She turned back to the others, trembling slightly. "Hey guys? I think they want us to come out now."

Sunny

Sunny was having a wonderful dream. He was just a tiny gosling again, and he was back where everything had all begun. He was happy, standing proud for the first time as Devri had showed him. She was of course in the dream as well, standing infront of him watching as she stood proud herself. He felt complete, like he never wanted anything to change beyond that moment. But suddenly the dream changed, and he found himself falling, falling away from her into darkness. "Devri!" he shouted in fear as everything went black. He woke up with a start, charging straight into the wall out of panic. He wobbled to his feet, trying to calm himself as he rubbed at his now throbbing breast bone. He couldn't tell if he was still dreaming or not, but he assumed that he was awake by all the strange scents that were pouring into his mind. The scent of the "unknown" as it had come to be called. He had grown very sullen lately, his life having turned into a repetative drone after they were moved from the brooder. Food. Water. Darkness. Sleep. Repeat. He shuddered as he thought of it. Just as he was about to feel his way toward the water dish, the door flung open, scaring him nearly half to death. As his eyes adjusted to the brightness, he stared in awe at the unknown. He usually only got to see it once a day, so he wanted to make each time count. Sometimes, he even tryed to escape, but the creatures always stopped him. He gave a frustrated huff, glareing beligerantly at the 3 creatures. He saw Aster step into the light, and listened to her as she spoke. He shrugged. "I guess I'll go first, since I've become quite an expert at the art of evasion." He snorted sarcastically, rolling his clear blue eyes as he turned toward the opening. With a look of determination, he took one bold step into the unknown. He cringed, waiting for them to grab him. But they didn't. They looked happy that he was escaping. With a look of disbelief and joy, he began to run. He kept going until he was a good distance away from the others and then turned back to them, excitement teeming from every aspect of his existance. "GUYS! I THINK THEY ACTUALLY MEAN IT! WE'RE FREE!!

oh, so much so suddenly.

Life in the dull confines of the coop had been taxing on all of them, Owl reflected. At first, excitable little goslings bouncing off each other in pranks and games, they'd had a carefree life. Now the coop was beginning to drive them crazy; of late they'd been snapping at each other, getting into more squabbles than usual, silently seething as they went through the mechanics of each day.
She was sprawled in the soft straw, her feathers mussed and her eyes still bleary. She groggily stared at the dusky gloom, absently listening to Sunny as he woke. When the door flung open, it took a moment for her to process it. When it got through her befuddled mind, she hissed 'Devri, wake up!' Her friend was still sleeping; she wouldn't be happy if she had missed this, and it would take a lot to get her to wake up. That done, she raced towards the light with the others. She listened with amusment at Aster and Sunny's short exchange- she was friends with all of them, except Mercy (she doggedly maintained the mutual hate of each other; it was always her who started the arguments or mean things), but she liked Sunny much more when he was sarcastic and cranky, as opposed to optimistic and chirpy.
Sunny's triumphant shout came back to them. Her eyes lit up, and she glanced arrogantly at the monsters- they did look satisfied. She tore out without a moment of hesitation, then froze as alarm thudded through her head.
She was standing in a vast area of rustling orange-and-scarlet papery things, attatched to tall, thin things. The air was still and warm; ahead of her was a vast, muddy pool of wet stuff. She spotted Sunny racing ahead, and lifted her gaze up.
Oh. It was a never-ending expanse of bright blue, that faded to a paler color as it sloped towards the ground. Billowy white-and-gray things broke into the blue; they were incredibly detailed and folded. She stared at it hungrily, wanting to take in every detail of the serene beauty.
'Sunny?' she said, wrenching her gaze away. 'Are you there?'

Mask glanced up sharply at the sound of another goose's holler. For a moment he gave his head a slight shake, confused, but the distinct noise of something pattering through the bushes made him clamber from the pond and stumble over to Sunny, bewildered.
'...hi?' he said, cautious but bright.

(Mask is just a little older than them, so he's still able to be their equal and possible (unlikely) mate.)
Also, on the male geese we'll need, is anybody else willing to make one?

I make them into mutton-pies,
And sell them in the street.
I sell them unto men," he said,
"Who sail on stormy seas;
And that's the way I get my bread --

America

America flapped her wings a bit akwardly, stirring up a slight breeze. She wished she could get all her feathers in and begin to fly, most of the others could glide at least. She wasn't even ready for that yet! America sat down on her spindly legs, wanting to talk to someone, particularly a male. She was feeling rather flirty today, and now that they where all old enough to understand love, she wanted to make a good impression on the males. She heard Owl honking and closed her eyes, to far off to understand what she was saying.

Miranda

Miranda sat sleeping in the dry straw, having nothing better to do than feel around for food and water in the dark place they were in. When she heard the comotion of the others near the door, she woke up and waddled over to them, wondering what was going on. Seeing the others go through the white light made miranda scared and worried she was alone, so she hurryed after them. Miranda stopped dead at the door, worried about what was beyond it, and of the monsters, just waiting to grab her or who knows what. Hearing the others calls, she stepped slowly and cautiously, into her new world. As Miranda Came out, she stopped and Hissed at the monsters, and pecked a large black thing (A shoe) Before Making a mad dash to freedom. The first thing miranda did was run to any goose she could find, which was Owl. "Owl!! Owl!! Where are we?! I don't know what to think of this. It's all so... quick! Where are the others? I hope they escaped ok! Wheres the food and water here?? So many questions, so Little time!!!" Miranda made a nervous chuckle. Miranda then went over to the shiny muddy thing infront of them. "What..is this? It looks almost the same as the shiny stuff we drank in the dark space... but it looks.. odd. I still see no food, or shelter."

((Hmmm, still don't know what to do about the lack of ganders, lol. I already have 2 charries, so I don't think I could keep up with more than that, but there are a few others who only have 1 Charrie. I guess I could open up forms to the publc again, but the only way to make the sudden burst of ganders more believeable would be for them to all be Canadian Honkers or Grey Lags. Or, maybe a bunch of males could be dumped off at the pond by people who didn't want them anymore(I've seen that happen in real life). I want our current Charries to be all used to the pond and Mask and stuff before the Apacolypse strikes, lol.))

Sunny

Sunny had continued running after he announced the news to the others. As he went, his mind was racing with all the new sensations that were pouring in. The cool breeze, the russle of the tall golden spikes that reached for the sky, and the cool thud of his webbed toes hitting the bare ground was exciting, if almost exhilerating as he began beating his growing wings. There was strange green stuff growing in patches all about him, and it smelled wonderful, but he was distracted by something else. He blinked once, twice, three times in attempt to decide if he was hallucinating. It was the most liquid he had ever seen in one place before. This he had to invistigate. As he exploded into a sprint toward the large, sparkling expanse of liquid, he saw something stumbling toward him. He froze, lowering his head in caution as it approached. It took him a few seconds for him to process what was happening, and then he straightened, a look of pure astonishment on his face. It was another of their kind! And it spoke to him! It took a moment to compose himself before he replyed. "H-Hi! I was starting to wonder if me and the girls where the only ones of our kind! I'm Sunny, do you live here?" He cocked his head, hearing Owl calling him from far off. He turned toward her voice. "OWL! You have got to see this!" he shouted in excitement.

Aster

Aster stood in the sunlight, just letting it envelope her completely. She had been waiting for this moment her whole life, and now she was basking in the peaceful glow of the unknown in complete harmony. She heard the others running about, but it never really penetrated fully into her mind. She noticed American in the corner of her eye, and wattled over to sit next to her. She lowered gracefully into the interesting new things that resided under foot, and stared off into the grand and wonderful new surrounding that they had been given. Her eyes turned to America as she spoke. "Isn't it beautiful? I've waited for this day so long, I wish it would never end." she gave a sigh, inhaling the crisp scents from all around her. "I wonder where Sunny and the others went?" she pondered, glancing off in the direction the young gander had gone.

'I've lived here all my life, young 'un,' Mask said, hoping that this wide-eyed weanling wouldn't noticed that the age gap between them was barely noticable. 'There's a lot of beauty and danger around these here parts...'
He felt a part of him scorn at himself for speaking so cornily, but Sunny? wouldn't know any better. Maybe he'd think that was how everyone spoke.
And danger? he asked himself. Like the time a bee drowned in the pond and you wouldn't dare go near it because it might have poisoned the water?
'Where do you come from, and do you mean me any harm?' he demanded, then started as a female Sunny's age came crashing through the bushes.

\

'Hi Sunny!' Owl gasped, speaking very quickly and in ragged, exhausted breaths. 'Isn't it great out here and did you look up because it's so blue and and look at the shining stuff and WHO'S THAT.'
She stared challengingly at Mask.

Sunny

Sunny listened to the gander speak with his eye brows slightly pinched together. Did all the others beside his group speak this way? And danger? What kind of danger? This scared him, but he hid it well. He noticed that the strange new goose wasn't much older than they where, smiling within himself. He was young and all alone, so maybe he didn't know any better. "I don't mean you any harm, none of us do, and I honestly don't know where we came from either, I believe a place now very far away..." he was cut off as Owl came bursting in behind him. "Owl!" he honked, beaming at her cheerfully. Amused at the hurried and excited rush in which the words were spilling from her beak, he chuckled. "Oh, this is....who are you?" he suddenly questioned as he turned back to the gander, realizing that he didn't know who he was either.

'Mask,' he said sourly, noticing Sunny's smirk.

Owl nodded slowly, surveying both of them. 'Where are we?' she demanded suspiciously. 'Sunny, where's the others? Isn't Aster with you? She usually is...'

Mask cleared his throat. 'There's more of you?' he said, as though this was what he had been dreading.
