Luna watched as the storm seized and her Alpha pin Talon down, the blood from Talon's leg seemed to turn the snow crimson.
"Alpha why not give Talon a punishment? and it seems the white has seized we should hurry back to camp." Luna said.
"Talon can your ingury wait untill we get to my healing den?" she sighed. Luna was hungry and tired she sensed Kokak must have felt the same. Before padding back to camp she covered their sent up with funus she had found growing inside a fallen hollow pine, it wasnt a pleasing job as the funi stuck to her teeth and smelled awful but the other pack wouldn't know they had tresspassed. The river had frozen over a dangerous time for pup's who got too close to grey ice (thin ice). Crossing the frozen river would save time as long as they padded over the white ice and avoided the grey she looked over to her Alpha to see if he agreed. "Alpha if we walk on the white ice and avoid the grey ice the river should save us most of the journey, do you think we should cross it?"

:: Talon ::

Talon felt the weight come off of him, and Talon got up. Him limped after Luna. He stayed farther back behind her ,just incase Quest came back. He would give it to her this time. Talon glanced behind him, the only sign of her being there was her scent.

Kodak
Kodak nodded. He closed his mossy rock eyes and walked on. if I close my eyes the ice wont brake he thought as he slowly but surely crossed the freezing icy river. Under the ice was fast moving, freezing, and dangerous water that he knew fed into the waterfall. If a wolf fell in they would surely die. Kodak shook those thoughts out of his head and carried on. The chilly late autumn air blew through his body. His thick dark coat seemed to blow out of the way for the wind. He shivered once but snapped his eyes open when he heard a familiar howl. A howl that surely chilled him to the bone. “Kodak, surely I thought you were dead.” a voice sneered. Kodak froze. don’t turn around. he thought.

Ouest
Quest peered into the lonely hole when she heard a voice behind her. “Loner, I don’t think you want to be here.” It said with an edge in there voice. Quest gasped and turned her small frame around. Her bright eyes clouded with fear. She saw a dark brown she wolf staring back at her with unsure amber eyes. “Im sorry, I was just looking for shelter. I will leave now.” Quest said to the strange wolf with a submissive gesture. Her light grey coat blew in the wind. The other strange wolf nodded but looked at her. “No you may stay here, but don’t let my alpha find you, Alpha Skylar is a cruel wolf.” The strange she wolf said. Quest nodded and thanked the wolf ans silently slipped inside the abandoned den.

Luna smiled the Alpha was amusing to watch, closing his eyes whist crossing an ice river was the worst thing a wolf could do, she didn't worry though the Alpha was alot smarter than she could know and besides Luna knew what to do if Kodak broke the ice. She glanced back at the limping Talon he seemed fine, Luna was suprised that his wounded leg had not failed him it seemed he was in more shock than pain. Luna stepped across the ice jumping over the darker and more transparent ice even though she walked on the thicker ice she could hear the creaking of the ice and the gush of the deadly torrent of water beneath her paws. Luna's ear's pricked up and she heard a howl she couldnt make it out too well as she was completely focused on getting everyone across the river safely. The howl sounded something like "sure ought you we dead" She turned around but continued moving, Kodak had opened his eyes and seemed to be lost in thought.

:: Talon ::

Talon followed after his alpha and healer, not knowing that Luna was Beta yet. Talon slwoly caught up, the ice fragile beneath him. "Kodak... I know this is the worst question to ask and alpha you were very disrespectful to, but do I still have a chance at being Beta?" He asked as he limped along side. He trailed behind, but caught up yet again. Talon hated this leg. It was cold, and it was an open cut that was broken. So far, Talon thought his leg was frozen.
