Slowly, Auburn made her way to a pine forest, where the scent was strongest. A lone wolf standing not far from her made her pause. Auburn howled cautiously, unsure wheither or not she could trust this wolf.

Soon, Silka could spot the stranger in the distance. She stared at the wolf, slighty glaring; she was feeling the same, unsure if she could trust this wolf. Her long ears flicked as the howl echoed through the surrounding trees. She quickly lifted her head again, a long and loud howl came from her muzzle, dancing through the slight breeze until it disappeared.

Auburn cocked her head slightly, and walked with caution towards the wolf. She lifted her ears at the female's howl, and wagged her tail so softly it was almost undetectable. The slight breeze calmed her a bit, and she tilted her head once more, as if she was asking, "Who are you?"

Silka knew this wolf meant no harm, but slowly took a tiny step back anyway."My name is Silka, who are you?" She asked, trying to make her voice come out as kind as possible, thought it came out like a growl. She didn't want to start a fight with this wolf, at least not yet.

Auburn stopped advancing, the unease in the air so thick you could cut it with a knife. She dropped her tail, not wanting to do anything to aggrivate this female. "Auburn. Nice to meet you Silka." Her voice was deep and strong, but she lowered her head slightly, showing she meant no harm. Her eyes were focused on Silka, watching for any sudden movement.

Silka stared at her for some minutes, curious. A warm silence invaded the atmosphere, and then she cleared her throat to speak. "Nice to meet you, Auburn. Do you know if there is any nearby pack?" She said, her voice coming a little more friendly this time. Another silence period invaded the surroundings as she waited for her reaction, tilting her head a little.
