In the cramped cage, the border collie stared weakly at the fading surroundings and the new ones appearing. When they pulled near a new building and stopped, Lani felt her cage move and then she was in a dark building. She heard and scented other dogs and cowered to the back of the cage. Once some became in her area of vision she knew that she wouldn't fit in here.

The pit bull snarled and looked around at the other dogs.
