"You don't seem to be a spy, and our pack desperately needs new members," Never said.

Blizzard asked curiously, "What rank are you?"

Snowheart said shyly, "I-I don't think anyone would want me in their pack...." She somewhat wanted to join this pack but didn't at the same time. Snowheart decided to see what Never wanted. She perked her ears at some voices from far away but didn't say anything. Snowheart looked back at Never.

"Farkas, what are you doing?" Winter asked, surprised that this wolf wouldn't betray her. "You're here for me," she whispered to herself.

"Yes," Farkas said. "I wouldn't leave a pack member." But Farkas was not a confrontational wolf, and being in this situation was making him go into a panicky state.

"Are you sure, the mountain lions don't seem happy..." Winter shivered, "Things like this always happen to me, I mean, why me?" Winter said quietly to herself. She seemed to get paler every second, as if the winter was absorbing her and transforming her into nothing.
