Mallis smiled at the two cubs once more. He licked Zaltana's cheek, "I will be back soon," he said to her and stood up walking back towards Phoebe's den. He felt bad for leaving her, but he had a pride to take care of and he didn't want anyone feeling left out. He saw Phoebe as his favorite among her and Zaltana, but he loved them both the same. He walked into her den to see the cubs laying at her side, he licked her softly. "Sorry I needed to check on something." he said to her.

Phoebe heard someone coming, but calmed instantly when she recognized the scent as Mallis's. She raised her magestic head as she watched him enter, purring only for a second as she quickly licked his cheek, then reached backand picked up Beau by his scruff gently, setting him down at her stomach, next to his sister. The lioness scented not only Zaltana's scent on Mallis, but that of cubs as well. "How many cubs did Zaltana have?" She said softly, keeping her eyes on her cubs. She didn't bother telling him about Beau's first word yet, its not like he would have cared anyways, right?

Mallis smiled and laid behind her, "How did you know?" he asked her curiously. Then he remembered, she probably smelled the scent of her and the cubs on him. "Oh..well. She had two..but it doesn't really matter. I thought I should come back after I checked up on her." he said hoping she understood.

Phoebe saw the confusion in his eyes, causing her to smirk softly, but quickly making the smirk dissapear, to be replaced with a tiny smile. She gently pulled her cubs into her chest, curling her head softly around them. "Two? Sounds like me.. Boys or girls?" She asked softly, trying to not sound as annoyed as she was. Yes, she was jealous, but put in her place, so would you. I mean, she had literally given birth just moments before, then Mallis left to go see anouther female. Anyone would be annoyed if that happened to them.

Mallis sighed, he knew she was probably a bit upset for him leaving her. "Both, and I'm sorry Phoebe, but please try to understand that there are others in the pride that I have to look after as well. Don't get me wrong, I do love you, more than anyone or anything else. I just have to apply to my duties." he said to her hoping he didn't come out to hard with saying that to her. It was true though, he couldn't help that they had their cubs on the same day. Which made things alot harder for him to watch them both. He hoped she would understand though.

Kazi shook his head and kneaded the ground with his black claws. "I have no pride, Carthage. It seems the lionesses here either have looked me over or have bad taste in lions." He flicked his tail in indifference and dug a small, smooth stone from the dirt.

Carthage nodded and looked over her shoulder once more before turning her attention back to the male in front of her. "That is Unfortunate. I've been alone since my mother mated with a bachelor. She threw me out shortly after becoming pregnant." Strangely,the lioness didn't seem to be bitter. "So are you wandering until you find someone,or is this how you plan to live your life?"

"Well, when you see her next, tell her I said congradulations. And I know you do, Mallis. I just... Hated you having to leave me moments after I had our cubs. I understand you have duties to do, it's just hard on me. You must understand that." Phoebe said quietly, gently curling her body away from the large male and closer to her cubs. "Beau said his first word when you were gone.." She said softly.

Mallis sat up, "I understand, and I am truly very sorry Phoebe." he said to her, then hearing that he had missed his first son's first word his heart sank. "What did he say?" he asked curiously looking at the tiny cub.

Phoebe could just feel the sorrow and regret in Mallis's eyes and on his face without even having to look at the male. At his question, she gave a gentle sigh. If if were possible for a lioness to cry, she would be in tears. Very, Very quietly, Phoebe spoke. "He heard you leaving. After you left, he looked in the direction of the entrance, even though he can't see he can still smell you. He.. He said Daddy..." Phoebe looked down, licking the cub gently.

Personality: Lelani's personality could be described as...Undecided. She avoids making decisions if at all possible and she hates conflict. She usually gets along with everyone,and those she doesn't like she avoids like they have the Plague. When it comes to males she's completely different. She's extremely flirtatious with no inhibitions. She's been known to nuzzle a male when his pride queen was right next to him. She does want cubs,however and doesn't much care who their father is.
History: Lelani had a pretty normal cubhood. She grew up in a happy pride,and is currently working toward joining her own pride. She happened upon a few males in her journey thus far,but none of them interested her,so she kept moving on.
