Blue's ears twitched sharply to the roar but she was direly reluctant to leave her newborns in the den with nobody to guard them - she'd lost one already and letting Death claim the others wasn't an option she was willing to choose. Judging by the mixture of scents that passed through the den as the wind blew, Nyani wasn't nearby, either. She huddled closer around the cubs, wrapping her tail across their bodies as they nursed.
Nyani kept her head low beneath the grassline as she walked. It was a way to keep Mamba hidden from the prying eyes of lurking predators as they moved from one den to another. She took notice of Luke's roar and was tempted to go after it to see if she could feed. Even so, Nyani wanted to make sure Mamba would be okay... there was Blue, though.
She changed direction and headed for camp to check on Blue, hoping she could maybe watch Mamba while she went out to get food for all of them.
I scratch your back, you scratch mine... She thought, beginning to trot.
''It's what a gentlemen would address to a lady, isn't it?'' Lee chuckled. After some time, he came to the pride's designated camp. The dens... were not the most impressive... but they were under the shade of a small gathering of several acacia trees and the odd baobab. The dens were deserted warthog burrows, all made from various materials - arranged boulders and logs, underground soil dug-outs and torn out spaces beneath bulky trees. He sat down in the middle of the shady clearing.
''Take your pick.'' He purred.
