Plot
Miami. Fun in the sun, all day, every day...right?
Yeah. If you're human or a Domestic (That's a house dog to me and you!). To us, the streets are both our sanctuary and our hell. Animal Control drive around in those big metal machines called cars, searching us out. Anyone who is caught is doomed - unless you're wearing a collar and tag.

We Strays...have it difficult. Apart from trying to keep our dignity from the snooty Domestics and the catch-pole from the humans, we have our strifes and own-kind enemies.

The Junkyard Dogs, The Mutt Mafia, The Domestics...all cause trouble to the lone-walkers and smaller packs...and to each other...some are dangerous while others are pests...

What is your goal in this big city? To be a lover-boy Junkyard Dog, a macho-mutt Mafia or just a pampered Domestic?
It's your choice...



Rules
1. All of Tess' rules apply, including no force-mating, no god-modding, etc
2. No killing without permission.
3. No fighting OOC (out of character)
4. No Wolf hybrid dogs (Czechoslovakian and Waterloo wolfdogs are fine to have; they don't count as hybrids)
5. You cannot be your own mate/crush/g-b-friend.
6. Cause as much drama and romance as possible! Lots and lots!
7. Not every dog will survive - let some characters of your's die at some point, but feel free to make more.
8. Only as many characters as you can handle - but keep them ALL active.
9. If you are not prepared to be active on this rp, then don't bother joining. Seriously. Inactive players will be deleted after 3 days. I shouldn't have to go chasing after people, after all, this IS your warning.
10. Some realism, please. No powers, mutations or oddly coloured dogs.
11. Post a minimum of 3 sentences with good grammar and puncuation - this shouldn't be difficult to acheive, even with WB. NEVER any one-liners. Spkng lyke dis isn't appropiate. Try to to keep things understandable in OOC, though chatspeak is allowed there.
12. I may add more rules if I feel appropiate.
13. Don't start until accepted.
14. If I'm not online when you post your form, don't spam the thread by posting posts like 'Hurry up and get online!' or 'I'm sooooo bored!' or don't PM me demanding to know why I haven't accepted you. If I have posted several times along with a few other members but not said anything about your form, please PM it to me or re-post it. If you PM it to me, please be polite. Anything I take as being rude will lead me to decline your form.

The Big City!
Welcome to the city of Miami. Here are the common places the different dogs and gangs hang out at and call home...among other places...

Genral areas/Areas of interest


The big city
Where all we dogs lived. Us dogs occupy only the east of the city, including the eastern borders and the beach.


Eastern Beach
All the dogs; from Domestics to Mafias, everyone hangs out here - until Animal Control turns up.


The Market
Food, food and MORE food! Are ya hungry? Well, come on over! Meats, fruits, bread and cakes! If you act all hungry and desperate, you'll probably get fed something or get brutally kicked and beaten by terrified shoppers. Stealing IS an option, of course...


The Pound
Those who get caught...don't usually come out...unless you're wearing a collar or if a human adopts you.


The Eastern Streets
The many streets that cover the eastern side of Miami.


Miami Mutt Mafia
In the eastern part of this city is a Mafia of dogs. Some of these guys are bad-boys while the others are secretly good guys. They're controlled by a single Don.


Black Cat Alley
The alleyway is where the Mafia members tend to hang out. The Underlings usually guard this area well because it leads to the main hideout. Most of the Mafia sleep here.


The Hideout
This is where the Don, his mate, his pups and the higher ranking dogs live. It's heavily guarded by Underlings.


The Junkyard Dogs
A broken up pack of dogs. Not really ruled by anyone, these dogs do tend to stick together...but where there's a group, there's always a mutt who wants to be the boss...
These dogs are the masters of outsmarting humans and getting their way.


The Scrapyard
Old, rusted cars are dumped here. At the far end there is a tunnel which leads to the other part of the dump - the junkyard.


The Junkyard
Piles of trash and used rubbish. At the far end there is a tunnel which leads to the other part of the dump - the scrapyard

The Domestic's Houses
The house dogs and their digs...they enjoy their cushy lives while the rest of us fester.

The Characters

The Mutt Mafia
A group of dogs run by a male known as the Don. He controls the dogs within his group, who are all mostly male. Females are really only within the pack for breeding purposes but some insist on being more useful, but all of them are considered very precious and are protected fiercly.
If a Don dies, retires or disappears, either his eldest son or the Underboss takes over. The job of the spies and scouts include gathering information, looking for food and keeping tabs on certain dogs. Underlings are the lowest ranking - usually they do most of the dirty work and take the brunt of the Don's anger, but they have some uses.
The Mafia can be fairly aggressive and are renowned for causing trouble and giving everyone a hard time. They are also a protective bunch who stick together. They can do tasks for other dogs - as long as they are given fair payment.

The Junkyard dogs
These dogs usually hang out at the Junkyard and Scrapyard. They are ruled by an Alpha male and female, though the dogs tend to do what they want without an Alpha's acknowledgement. The Alphas aren't usually mates because of a dominance issue, and usually they'll take a mate who is a lower ranked than themselves.
There are relatively few ranks among this group.

The Loners
Other strays who don't live with the Junkyards or the Mafia. They sometimes stick together in small temporary groups of 2 - 4 for survival, but nothing usually more.
Rogues are males who are constantly seeking out females to mate with and groups to mess with. They aren't usually the nicest in the world and will sweet talk a fae into mating before he leaves her.

Personality: Somewhat quiet and elusive, Shuck keeps to the shadows, out of sight. Because of his large, powerful figure, he's a very difficult character for humans to catch or stop and often throws his weight around - or rather his size. His towering height gives him a sense of pride and aggression towards smaller dogs. He's an experienced fighter and isn't afraid to pick one with someone who challenges him, especially since he's use to getting his own way. He's known to be quite the flirt to females. He often uses his Texan charm on the girls, speaking with a strong accent.
History: Born in a PuppyMill down in Texas, Shuck and his brothers, Juckles, Tucka and Josh were badly ammaciated and their mother and father eventually died of malnutrition and infection from the wounds they received. Since the brothers were the only puppies that weren't riddled with ticks, fleas and disease, they were the ones to be sent to the pet-store. Shuck was brought by a gentleman and his wife who brought him up to and kept him for two years. They soon moved from Texas to Miami, but while they were in the middle of the city, Shuck managed to struggle through the open car window after spotting a cat.
He's been wandering the streets for three years, doing pretty much anything he wishes.
