Her nose was right, and Cassie was very excited once she reached the open area. And sure enough, a large herd of elk spread around the green canvas of grass.

[Sorry for slow replies. I have a ton of homework tonight & my parents are restricting my time on the computer because they think I'm on too much. >.<]

Carson was well into the pack lands, with the hopes of joining. But she was weak, and her strength was failing her. She hadn't seen hide nor hair of prey in days, even though her appetite seemed to be lacking. With a soft cry of surprise her legs gave way beneath her and she lay still in the ever darkening forest, eyes half-closed, flanks rising and falling with every shallow breath. She whimpered softly and allowed her eyes to close.

Huttser flicked his ears and looked around. He could smell the pack borders nearby, and his fur rose with excitement. This was the first pack he'd come across in a long time, and by judging what he could gleam from their scent markers they seemed to be a suitable pack. His ears flicked once more, a sign of his brief indecision before he hesitantly crossed over, into their land.

Cassie smelt something unfamiliar. She glanced over at the gash on her shoulder. It had gotten much better since first being speared by the buck, but the thought of getting hurt again bugged her. Her hackles raised and she pinned back her ears as she drew her attention away from the elk herd, and towards the odd smell. The she-wolf crept through the woods without hardly making a sound, and soon saw a male. She bared her teeth and growled "State your buisness brute." She snarled, emerging from the lurking shadows. Thantos sighed, tail waving boredly and fur following the course of the breeze. It was so quiet; patrols had already been set out, borders marked, fresh-kill pile full. There was nothing else to be done lately. Another border patrol could be sent out just before dusk, but other than that, he was free for the day. Uness something bad popped up.

Water feild her training and wanted som time off. " Ahhhh, more better. I feel like I'm about to faint. Geeze" she headed back to the dens with a Brute sent on the tip off her nose.

Although he knew it was wrong, Huttser was unable to stop the annoyed growl that rose in his throat. His ears flattened and he rose to his full height. "I am here to join the pack," he growled angrily, not responding well to her hostil demeanor.

Carson pushed herself warily onto her feet. Bright spots flew across her vision, but she found herself stumbling along. She wasn't being very quiet, and she had no idea where she was, but she kept moving. Actually, she was quite near to the camp. She fell again, and curled up, on her side, one eye open one eye closed.

Cassie simply cracked a smile and her body language changed. "Well, we can ask Thantos. Come with me if you would like." The she-wolf said in a sweet voice, although she didn't trust the brute. She turned and headed towards the camp, her head held high as she traveled there.
