Shane was soundly asleep on the top of his den. His ears flicked slowly, his sides rose and fell with each deep breath. He sighed softly and rolled on his side, letting his cheek rest on the cold stone on the top of his den. It felt good to be taking a nap; he was surprised to find that he needed on.

After a few minutes, which seemed like hours to Cassie, she could smell a very faint scent. She perked her ears and followed it, soon smelling more. 'Wolves!' She thought to herself, and quickly picked up her pace to a slow run. She didn't want to intrude, but was too excited to realize what she was doing when she strolled into their camp. Imediatley she froze, not daring to take anymore steps forward.

Shane lifted his head, half awake when a new scent reached his nose. He blinked sleepily and rose to his paws, looking around through half narrowed eyes. He finally spotted the fae and slipped down off of his den. "Hello?" He called cautiously.

Cassie was surprised to hear that he sounded....friendly. She could understand why he may be cautious or warry, because she may not even be welcome. "I am so very sorry for intruding. My name is Cassie." She greeted, bowing her head slightly to him.

Shane shook his head. "No worries. You are welcome to stay and rest up if you'd like," he offered, padding towards her. His ears flicked and he looked into the trees, wondering if anyone else was lurking about. When he saw nothing he returned his gaze to her.

Cassie was relieved he wasn't going to hurt her or be mad that she was on the territory. She was just plain old happy to have found a pack, and it brightened her day just to see one other wolf. Now she felt as if she wasn't alone any longer. "Thank you. I appreciate it." She replied politely, but not moving from the spot she was standing.

Shane nodded, his tail flicking slightly behind him. He nodded in the direction of a kill. "You are welcome to what is left of that, or you can hunt if you'd like," he offered kindly, happy to have one more wolf to bolster his pack; to keep everyone safe.

"I'd be happy to hunt on my own. It feels strange to just come and take what isn't mine." Cassie said, hoping she didn't sound rude. The she-wolf was happy, but slightly scared all at the same time. She was afraid that this pack would be hurt just like her old one, and she didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Shane nodded once more, and glanced in the direction of the kill. "There is still plenty left, you can help yourself to that until someone frees up to hunt with you." [I'm being totally lazy tonight. xP]

Cassie was about to thank him, when she realized she hadn't even known his name. "May I ask who you are? " She questioned, tilting her ears backwards slightly. "Must I go with someone? I could possibly try and hunt for more to fill that up more." She offered. (lol XD)
