Shadow smiled faintly and carefully controlled his reaction to her heat scent. It hadn't gotten easier to control himself but he'd had some years of practice and those definitely helped. But still he carefully arched his neck and tapped her rump with his muzzle, asking her to mate.

Rem bobbed his head and bolted off with the other foals. "Thanks," he breathed when he caught up with them. He snuck a look back at Sprint.

Flame smiled at the mare and colt. "Of course you can join but you know that your brother will be kicked out next year, I assume?" He only wanted to confirm now so if she didn't know he wouldn't fight with her or her brother later.
