Cricket padded down the street, her pale blue eyes flickered around her. Her long, black nails clicked on the concrete with each stride she took. Her fawn colored coat was ruffled from small gusts of wind, and her gaze was cold. She turned into a dead-end alley with a sigh, finding a larger cardboard box. She crawled inside and rested her large head on her paws.

A dog catcher walked by to the alley Cricket was in. He was holding a net.

Cricket let out a low growl, baring her fangs fiercly. She slowly made her way out of the box. Her limbs went stiff and her hackles raised. She let out a sharp snap of her jaws, her teeth clicking together.

The dog catcher stepped closer.

Cricket leaped at the man, knocking him over with her weight. She then charged past him, loping down the street swiftly. Her strides were long and elegant, but she scrambles slightly on the slick concrete. She tried to run past and around people, but was bumbing into them. She narrowed her blue eyes and pushed herself harder as she headed towards the park.
